The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Just asked the football team if they know what donors are, and that they will when they get a little older and that he used to be a donor and got everything he wanted.

Yea, that's what I don't get. That quote doesn't make any sense.

If anything, it just shows how dysfunctional the GOP is. Breaks my heart.

Exactly. Probably looks forwards to a shutdown the same way a child celebrate a snow day as well.

50/50

50% chance that he just says, "**** it, I'll sign anything I just want to go golfing".

50% chance that he complains that the EPA isn't cut by 80% and blames Obama when he can't get what he wanted before capping off the speech by reminding us of his great Electoral College victory.

Trump is gonna be pissed when he finds out that he can't use the border $ for the wall.

They are an obstructionist not a governing party. It's that simple, they have zero clue how to lead. Look at how pathetic Paul Ryan is and he's their congressional go to.

So even without the tax cuts Trump is already gonna be running bigger deficits than Obama! Victory!

It's an uphill battle when the other side's policies are both more moral and more popular.

The reason they had to give Dems what they wanted is because the exact same dynamic exists as did during Obama's era, the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus nutjobs won't vote for any reasonable budget so to pass the house they need D votes, which means they needed to give Ds reasons to vote for the bill.

Democrats are completely focused on placating their frothing, left-wing, anti-Trump base — and the American heartland thinks these people are insane. They see women marching in anti-Trump rallies wearing “pussy” hats (and placing them on the heads of young children). They see left-wing mobs attacking Charles Murray at Middlebury College and trying to stop Ann Coulter from speaking at the University of California at Berkeley. They see “Bill Nye the Liberal Guy” — honorary co-chair of the March for Science — raising a question about whether people should be punished for having “extra kids.” (Which of their kids, they wonder, is the “extra” one?) They see a horrible feedback loop of left-wing intolerance for their beliefs and way of life.
And they see Democrats in Washington pandering to these people.
Trump has historically bad approval ratings, and you might want to think about who you try to talk down to about being "pandered to" when you're approvingly quoting a former Republican speechwriter telling you that you're winning.

Of the two major victories that 45* has achieved, one is definitely illegitimate and the other is looking more and more likely to be illegitimate all the time. The Supreme Court victory wasn't even his idea, it was basically the work of Mitch McConnell. The election "victory" is going to be under investigation for years, but yeah. After a hundred days that's all he's got. They can't accomplish a single legitimate thing. Look for him to get impatient sooner rather than later and trying to dismantle checks and balances in some way.

Trumpkin defending Trump's first 100 days by referencing Ann Coulter at Berkeley and Charles Murray at Middlebury. It's almost like these people aren't interested in policy so much as they're simply fascists who hate liberals.

& shills like Bill Mitchell actually claim the fault lies with the moderates. Their party has had this issue since the Civil War. It's nothing new for the GOP to be this fractured...

breitbart snowflakes continue to melt over govt shutdown

FreedomFarmer BraveNewHuxley • an hour ago
It was a negotiation, that's supposed to be his strength. He caved on wall, EPA, sanctuary, foreign visas, endowments for arts, foreign aid, climate research, funding obamacare, and got 18 bil of planes and boats.... that is embarrassing. Worse, it shows his real aspiration to be a military President at the expense of working families.

This is correct. GOP are the biggest bunch of traitorous cucks around.

"Taxation without representation". Our forefathers would have already been shooting. Pathetic.

STAND AND DELIVER!

They asked for our votes, we delivered, now its their turn.

STAND AND DELIVER!

Or we WILL NOT vote for them again.

Better a vote for the dems who tell us they will screw us than the RINO's who lie to us. The faster this whole ball game goes to hell, the sooner We The People will be totally fed up and revolt!

STAND AND DELIVER!

nice to see how the deplorable universe is suffering

Good riddance, as long as the Dems don't nominate Hillary or any other establishment figures... Time for a celebrity liberal to counter.

It's like how Trump was all about the polls in the primary, and forgot they existed during the general. If my team were losing the (foreign, domestic, whatever) policy game this badly, I'd get amnesia about it too.

The government is prosecuting a woman for laughing at Jeff Sessions, but yeah, the intolerant left is who doesn't value free speech

It's cool guys you need a good shutdown every few years to get rid of the bad blood

If its the literal only option that beats Trump then sure but I've had my fill of people who have zero idea how government works

Putin & Trump speaking on the phone right now. There could be a new international conflict by tomorrow if Trump tries to be a hero with some FPS ****.
05-02-2017 , 01:22 PM
BTW, this may be one call where the two transcripts match.

You really think someone like Elizabeth Warren or God help us Bernie is the answer? It's time to fight with their weapons and beat them at their own game.
