The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Why would they fire Spicer? Every person he works with, right up to the president, is wholly incompetent. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

white house is gonna fix this by replacing sean spicer with mel gibson's holocaust-denying father

The only person better than Spicer would be Ms. Alternativefacts herself.

Hitler did actually hate chemical weapons...on the battlefield. Every serious WWII book I've read, including the mammoth one by William Shirer, cites this as a fact. He supposedly loathed them after seeing the effects of mustard gas in the trenches of WWI. This is probably what Spicey was referring to, but just whoopsing on the whole Holocaust thing is just blatantly stupid on his part. Still about 0% chance he gets fired or even reprimanded.

considering you can slander former presidents on twitter and commit perjury, 0% chance he gets fired.

if anything they will come out tomorrow and say "obv we meant on the battlefield, we know it was terrible what they did in the gas chambers, etc"

same play as the wiretap/"wiretap"

Jesus Christ....how is it possible to screw up that badly so many times on the same issue.

And right in the middle of Passover...it's almost like they are doing this on purpose to send a message to some of their supporters.

Nobody has mentioned China is cutting off some coal shipments from NK? Wouldn't that seem to indicate they agree with us and are willing to cooperate in forcing NK's hand?

Do people really think Kim will choose to destroy Seoul vs taking money to leave? I feel like there is a pretty good chance of resolution here. China does not seem to be that fond of propping NK up economically anymore. Although Trump's tweets suggest otherwise I guess?

If I'm Kim, no way I'm taking money to leave. First, you have to be concerned about being convicted either by new NK government or ICC, in which case you have to hope your new country doesn't extradite you. Second, given the fate of so many of his rivals, odds of being assassinated have to be super high even if you fade conviction.

This is the day Sean Spicer became Press Secretary.

I think it's more likely that they realize Trump is a legit ****ing nutjob and they'd rather not have nukes flying right nearby. NK has always been a matter of convenience for them as a nice little buffer between them and SK but if it becomes more hassle than that buffer's worth they're not going to side with NK.

Not an expert on how all that works but I would think all parties would guarantee he is allowed to leave safely and just take the huge win that he is out of power. Then he goes into exile somewhere.

But maybe that isn't an option.

Either way, I do think we have to do something about him now (or 15 years ago)

If his response to being backed in a corner is going to be carnage, wouldn't it be better to test him while there is a far better possibility it can be contained?

China's been pretty pissed at NK lately, esp with the recent assassination shenanigans.

Nothing in there implicates Clinton. It was an act of espionage, and the house investigation turned out a report with five major conclusions that were debunked several times in the following months and years.
