I think the point of the mortgage plan is to give McCain something concrete to point to so that he can say "Here's how the government will help the average person." whereas the current bailout is focused only on large corporations. It's a bold move (obviously not conservative) that could kill him OR gain him major brownie points with every day people.

Haven't followed the thread, did anyone notice Obama mentioning Delaware as the place for lax Credit Card rules. Biden's Delaware? Ooops?

On balance, Obama moved one step closer to winning this thing tonight.

Letting an appraiser determine how much you owe -- no chance of corruption there.

Aaaaaand, Carville says we have to fear the race riots. Time to turn off CNN.

According to DIAL-TECHNOLOGY, Dems went a tick up. Independents dropped like 15 ticks. Republicans dropped a million ticks.

This is all conservatives have left to hold on to. It's their only chance. They need America to be racist one time. Look for McCain and other Republicans to attack Blacks more and more like they did tonight. McCain refered to Obama as "that one" meaning that he's not a person. McCain also told the black guy in the audience who asked a question that he had never heard of Fannie or Freddie because black people are stupid. Desperate times call for desperate measures and McCain is ready to say anything to be President.

Well the verdict is in..........Foxnews text poll shows 86% that McCain won the debate. Hannity for Secretary of State.

And that will be the last time I watch that show

McCain needs to outline his mortgage plan ASAP. I dont like it, but if this is his Hail Mary, make is substantial

Fox News killed McCain after the debate, so i dont think anything else needs to be said
10-07-2008 , 11:33 PM
is that what he meant by "that one"? he's black and not a person? I find that hard to believe. I think its just weird and a gaffe but dont really see what else it could be. "that one"?? wtf.

I would expect this view from a religious nut with seven kids, obviously blinded by his right wing opinions. You probably thought Palin won her debate also and think Obama is a terrorist who is actually fron Kenya.

Open your eyes Stu.

In a pure vacuum, I give McCain maybe a 102-98 cumulative edge, but that's not nearly enough to swing this. McCain probably exceeded expectations the first time, and Obama probably missed expectations tonight, but not enough to matter.

I'm still slightly leaning Obama if I lived in a swing state, but.... Christ Almighty. What must it be like to have a couple kids, spouse with a slight health problem, and a paycheck that barely makes the bills right now?

Obama wins because he still has Sharpton if all else fails.

The bitch can live with a sore back, I want to avoid the next holocaust! Vote McCain

Hannity and Rove drunk on Maverick-juice on Fox. Apparently Palin is still going to win this election for McCain...
10-07-2008 , 11:38 PM
I thought McCain won the first debate based on substance, I thought Palin won her debate based on style, I thought Obama won tonight based on rhetoric.

Oliver Stone looking like he's got the Oscar sewed with this latest masterpiece.
