Listen dude, your posts are bad enough. At least be original and stop stealing my lines and then pretending you don't know what I'm talking about. You make yourself look like a total fool.

"Lol wat" is hilarious. I should start using that every time I try to dodge a point you're trying to make, but I can't pretend to be that dismissive when I'm called out.

When I say "you people are hilarious", this is what I mean.
You came up with lol wat, or I stole some other line of yours?

I'm just laughing at you making at least 2 ass related insults today. It's even funnier that you do it while whining that others insult people. If you happened to make some others about some other body part it adds to the lols but doesn't make that post I quoted make any sense.

It's also super funny you're going to try and accuse someone of stealing your lines when you're in other threads saying that's exactly what you do to other posters (I'll note the 'but you're used to being wrong' is another example of you trying to flip something said at you repeatedly back on others). Just can't stop acting like a whiny hypocrite, can you?

It's my understanding that the anus is part of the ass, FWIW.

Yesterday, the 14th, a judge ordered the release of the Gardena police shooting video from 2013. All I can say is Wow, did the officers think he had a gun hidden in his baseball cap?

LA Times article with video

Why were they stopped? That's not included in the video. If they weren't doing anything, why did the police feel threatened and draw guns?

The guy dropped his hands at the last minute after being told several times to keep his hands up. The police have to make split second, life or death decisions. It's very easy to judge from our armchairs but we weren't there.

The police opening fire isn't too crazy to me there, the dude dropped his hands to his sides. Definitely arguable that they were trigger-happy but it seems like it could have been justified.

What does bother me is that it seems in all these shootings like after one officer opens fire, multiple officers do and they just keep shooting. Fire a couple rounds and put the guy down. Seems like a consequence of that thing where wrongful death charges won't stick unless you can prove the guy wouldn't have died without person X firing shots. If 8 people shoot a guy to death, apparently none of them is responsible.
07-15-2015 , 03:22 AM
That video is obscene. It's clear the guy did not have a gun in his ****ing cap and anybody who shoots someone to death over that is utterly incompetent. Not once in the video did any of the guys act aggessive or hostile, they were in complete surrender mode

The Gardena shooting occurred at night June 2, 2013, after police responded to a call about a bicycle stolen from outside a CVS drugstore. A police dispatcher mistakenly told officers the crime was a robbery, which typically involves weapons or force.

A sergeant responding to the call saw two men riding bicycles near the store. The men were friends of the man whose bike had been stolen and were helping him search for his bike. Mistaking them for the thieves, the sergeant stopped the men, according to a memo written by a prosecutor from the L.A. County district attorney’s office, who reviewed the case

Why is it so hard for people to listen? He was told 3 times to get his hands up, just keep them up.

It still doesn't give the cops an excuse to fire on them.

He was drunk and on meth, but that he was drunk seemed obvious the first time I watched the video. His feet and arms he could not keep still like lots of drunks I've seen. The police should be familiar with this kind of motion though, dude never acted aggressively and never reached for anything hidden in his clothes.

"Improper lane change" = "driving while black". I've been pulled over about 40 times in my life for usually very legitimate reasons. Never once for improper lane change.

One morning I saw a cop waiting by the stop sign by my house looking to nail someone, so I decided to stop and watch. I've always been curious what's constitutes running a stop sign in California, given that hardly anyone ever comes to a full stop. Locals call it the "California Roll".

Well I saw a few people do the California Roll and not get pulled over. Then the first person with brown skin I saw do it got pulled over. That's bull**** - plain and simple. I'm sure if that person complained that this only happened because they aren't white - well that's playing the victim and they need to look at themselves, etc. Racism is dead remember?

I've been pulled over for not signaling a lane change and for my license plate light being out (I still haven't checked to see if it's actually out).

Just shut the **** up with that bull**** once and for all. Not putting your hands up is not a license to be executed. No one cares if the guy was dumb or bombed out of his mind or whatever, that is not the takeaway here.

I'm sure if your daughter was raped you'd love to hear people say "Why is it so hard not to dress slutty like that? Everyone knows rapists can't help themselves when they see skin just like cops can't help themselves but shoot when someone drops a hat."

They probably new you were a carpetbagger union agitator.

The other thing people fail to realize is that people who know they are doing nothing wrong are often going to assume the attention is meant for someone else, and are also going to naturally be more indignant at being harassed by cops. If I came walking out of a local gas station and heard "PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!" I would immediately assume it was for someone around me and probably try to get out of the way as fast as possible. If I was drunk and feeling combative I probably wouldn't be the most complicit subject.

To be fair, I've gotten ticketed for rolling through a stop sign. It was in a college town though, where I think "driving while young-ish" is the equivalent to "driving while brown".

Not as simple as that, never has been. If the police were under the impression that a weapon was involved and they ask someone to put their hands up and they don't, accidents are bound to happen.

It's easy to criticize after all the facts are known.

Next time you guys get pulled over just refuse to comply with the lights and siren. Don't speed off, just continue driving normally.

Then, when asked, explain that you thought it was possibly it wasn't a real cop, just somebody who had put lights on their Impala. Come on, it's easy to criticize after the facts are known!

Heat of the moment is tough. Most of us have never been in it. Easy to criticize.

I've never been on team wait for the facts.

Yes Wil it is easy to criticize cops when they gun down a man who posed zero threat to them. Maybe cops should try to not leave themselves open to such criticism.

Wait, you two are different posters?

The guy in the background seemed to get shot too.

There was something on the news today where police threw a woman face first on the floor when she was in handcuffs and broke some of her teeth.

I went to youtube to find a link and didn't find a link to it, but there are a lot of videos of police throwing women face first on the floor.
