Gotcha, if MN goes red I will put stock on those stories that have hit my FB feed regarding Bain owned companies making and manipulating the voting machines.

Sorry for posting about Katy. I can't believe I posted that actually, as I never really cared for her, until I saw her in that blue Forward latex dress...

It is the worst recovery ever because it is nearly the worst recession ever and hasnt had the Keynsian spending that drove the recovery from the Great Depression which is the only one that is worse.

America's recovery is outperforming every other comparable country. What are you talking about man?

Are we in the midst of a global financial collapse? No? Then sorry, but we're immensely better off right now.

Oops. I didn't notice he said June 2009 instead of January. I'm not sure why he isn't starting with the beginning of Obama's Presidency. I'll assume he is cherry picking to make the numbers look the best.

How many recoveries have there been? I mean is there some huge secret number of recoveries you can compare this to?

Don't you find it odd that when Mitt was first nominated by the GOP he said "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?" and then stopped bringing it up? Why is that? Why has FOX and Drudge shifted the focus from the economy to Libya? Why does Mitt keep harping on creating 12 million jobs when the US forecast is for 12 million jobs by 2016 no matter who is in office? Then when Obama called him out on it in the 3rd debate, why did he change tactics and say government can't create jobs? If Obama is doing such a bad job, why doesn't Mitt mention the stock market going from 7949 on Jan 20th, 2009 to over 13,200?

Fact is, the GOP wants you to think Obama is doing such a ****ty job. He's not.

Thoughts? lol
I don't know. But what I'm digging is the fresh first impression, of intelligence, reflection, and nothing of what we have come to expect in a Repub talking head. OK, time to go read.

U6 Jan 2009 = 14.2%
U6 Oct 2012 = 14.6%

and more amazingly from the LA Times:

Quote:
American household median annual incomes have fallen 4.8% since the recession ended, from $53,508 in June 2009 -- when the recession technically ended -- to $50,964 in June of this year, a study found.

But for some subgroups, such as African Americans and those without a college degree, the declines were even starker, according to a study conducted by Sentier Research, an Annapolis, Md.-based research group.

The nearly 5% decline during the recovery is even larger than the 2.6% drop in median income during the recession.
Now that's a recovery 'we can believe in!'

Momentum. It is clear looking at the UE rates leading into his presidency that just giving him the figure from Jan 20th when he was inaugurated would clearly be unfair. He could have personally hired half a million people that month and the UE rate would still have increased.

But fwiw the UE rate has gone down since Jan 20th 2009 when he took over.

amazing thing, the economy has nothing to do with employment. the RMoney approach is to do more with less, for that is the key to increasing shareholder value. and behold, the economy then climbs higher and higher. those on food stamps, as he so eloquently put it, have a safety net (hopefully its a church so the EBT system can be canabalized.)

Krugman and Taylor have been going back and forth about it, I'm sure whatever theory you have has been addressed.
