just found this right now. i watched fight again....seems like fedor did have a chance to leave. i remember thinking that first time i d/led broadcast...watched it again to make sure. seems like it was more of a critical mistake on fedor's part and werdum perfectly capitalizing on it.
The original armbar attempt, which took actual effort to get out of, should have been enough warning not to jump in there like a noob (and that Werdum wasn't seriously hurt).

Its weird, cause a few times in the 3 times he fought Nog, he would throw him or drop him, and not go to the ground, and sometimes he would dive right into his guard and be shaking off sub attempt after sub attempt. Gotta give him credit for always trying to finish and be aggressive but it had to catch up to him eventually.
