I don't know about anyone else but I'm up lifetime and 36u this year. Though it might just be small sample size and I acknowledge I might be a small loser.

i make like 30-50 bets a year that are usually locks for a huge portion of bankroll. i think people who bet 100s of bets a week are overated

the fight i cant wait to unload on is barnett over browne, i have been on browne just about every fight he has had, but i think he is in for a rude awakening with barnett, im hoping this line comes out under -150 but will prlly b my biggest play this yr if its under 200

and writes ups can trick people sometimes people are just really good writers i dont care how you came to the conclusion i just wanna know whose top $$ maker here

also i try to go to the best bet thread for good picks but its mostly counter productive its just people firing 20 picks a week with records of like 100-100

I hate this fight most of all. The heavyweight division is made up of a champion who is a level above the number 2 guy who is a lvl above the rest of the division.

Rather than see Antonio Silva fight Mark Hunt, I'd rather see Brown fight Silva and try to avenge his only loss and have Barnett fight Werdum as oppose to having Werdum fight Valasquez who should be able to steamroll through Werdum. Then, if Browne wins, have him fight for the title and if Barnett wins, have him be in line for the next shot. I know its too late for any of this but having two of the top guys in such a top heavy division compete for one to advance and the other be set back, makes no more sense than having Cormier fight Gus.

As far the actual fight at hand, If Browne can work on stuffing the takedown, I see him beating Barnett. I wouldn't want to see either of these guys lose for the reason mentioned above, but Barnett is one of my all-time favorite fighters so obv I'll be routing for him.

I agree completely that all Lawler has is a punchers chance (the only way he came out of his fight with Melvin Manhoef in 1 piece was because of that). On the ground, Lawler is awful and has lost multiple fights by submission (Jacare, Mayhem, and Shields for instance). His standup is, at best, descent (although a while ago in Lawlers career, in his fight against Mayhem, if I remember correctly, threw 3 punches and a kick in the entire first round and was absolutely destroyed by Mayhem throughout the fight - If you watch Lawlers fights since then, his standup has not improved much). And, only a few years ago, lost a 3 round decision to Babalu (which is lol bad considering where Babalu was at that time in his career). To finish Koscheck, Voelker (which I will admit was prolly the best Lawler has ever looked), and Lindland (who has been KO'd more than prolly Duane Ludwig) is not overly impressive.

Rory Macdonald should be able to take Lawler down at will and impose his will on him. And even if the fight remains on the feet, I see Rory really falling back on his jab for both inflicting damage and keeping distance (just like he did against Condit).

Or it may have been when he fought Penn. Either way...

ChrisM is prob most consistent on this thread.

He posts his bets, results and finds lots of good/interesting lines. He also gets less involved with the time wasting arguments that me and some of the other regs enjoy.

I agree, it would be pretty cool to know how some are doing vs others when people are arguing one side/posting bet pics. Even if everyone just did what Chris M does it would make things A lot better.

Edit: Think i may start keeping track on here as well. Will probably help me keep better track of my results too

I'd guess this opens around Barnett -200. Not too sure what to think of this matchup honestly.

Against Ellenberger I assume you mean, but yeah this is how I see this fight going. I rarely bet big favorites but I'm seriously considering laying the big juice here.

Lawler needs a miracle to beat Rory, Tri-star will be playing it safe to try and ensure he gets the shot when GSP retires.

Interesting to know who GSP fights when (and I suppose IF) he beats Hendricks. Bjorn Rebney stated that he will not try to match Ben Askren's contract if he gets an immediate title shot against GSP. There's also Matt Brown in the mix and is likely the next guy in line if he beats Condit.

I suppose if Condit wins or loses that they can make the rematch between he and Rory and allow Rory the opportunity to avenge the 1 loss on his record that he, in all honesty, never really deserved.

lol might do that also ... although I'm kind of too lazy most of the time

- Ali Bagautinov 2u @ +160 (might look at the ITD/TKO prop)
- Evans ITD 2u @ +325 & +260
- Evans 3.5u to win 2u @ -175
- GSP by Decision 2.8u to win 2u @ -140

bets so far...

How do you guys feel about Kos at -120? He has really just been a mid-level fighter since he lost to GSP, but feel Kos has better standup and Wrestling.

Looking forward to seeing the Rick Story line. Not sure what to cap it at yet though.

why wouldnt we want to set it up where its so much easier to follow winning bettors where someone who knows nothing can come in and follow good picks?

Yeah, I would expect Koscheck as a favorite going into this fight. Tyrone Woddley hasn't been impressive in 2 of his last 3 and KOing Jay Hieron is just w/e.

Technically we are all competing in a market, if you knew anything about sports betting, you would probably know that.

Koscheck has the better skills on the feet I think, but he is getting older and obv well let's not even bring up that last fight...Woodley is extremely difficult to take down so I think this stays on the feet almost always.
