Man I thought Gus won it. Gave him 1st, 3rd, 5th. So many close rounds sigh. 5th probably closest. Has to be a rematch. Has to be.

not gonna lie when i heard 49-46 i thought gus won because i thought he won more than 1 round decisively but that is such a tough fight to score it is what it is

i had jones to finish off a 6 team parlay and i was rooting for gus!! what a fight

I thought 5th was the clearest of the 5 rounds (and gave it to jones). TD + lots of headkicks

Yeah media 48-47 Jones. Tried to hedge my +1500 with Jones -225 going to Rd 5 but was a tad too slow. Great fight.

Would be interesting to see if the Round 4 flurry by Jones swung the 48-47 cards, I could have seen it 3-1 for Gustafsson if he had of gotten out of that round without getting tagged.

I'd love to see a rematch, have no interest in seeing Teixeira getting smashed by Jones.

I had it 48-47 Jones but with only three rounds clear (1 and 3 for Gus and 5 for Jones) - 4 was close but scored for Jones on damage despite Gus dominating 4 mins of the round he got beaten up badly in the last 30 secs, so it comes down to r2 which was incredibly close but lean Jones.

If Gus had been slightly more aggressive in r3/4 when he was dominating the standup he could have finished Jones there I saw him go backwards and turtle on a few of those punches, Jones is beatable and Gus was obviously the play at +6xx

Jones/Gus gets FOTN, Barao gets KOTN and Gagnon gets SOTN?

lol oh yeah you're one of those who think takedown = automatic round win.

Headkicks were looking blocked/semi-blocked to me and Jones got punches a lot. I can accept a Jones round 5 but takedown was lol, dude didn't land a single strike and Gus was on his feet in 30s.

It's just a matter of who people wanted to win given their efforts.

I'm a swede and Alex is my favorite athlete in all of sports. I don't think he won the fight. I scored 1st (quite clear) 3rd (close but clear) for Alex and the 4th he dominated until he got caught at the end. But i can't give him the 4th because he stumbled around like a drunk for like 30 seconds.

Sick fight, expect a rematch to be much much closer in odds.

Yeah the biggest problem was Gus giving away the last 30s of 4 and 5. We all know the last minute is the only thing that really matters to judges, so they surely all scored both of those rounds for Jones.

The reason I believe Jones won is the4th.

The bell saved Gustuf, if it was 20-30 seconds longer, Gustuf would of been knocked out.

Then throughout the 5th round Gustuf couldnt breathe and was dead almost lol.

Absolutely amazing fight. Couldve gone both ways. Only way Jones loses belt is if he gets knocked out...Close decisions will go to Jones.
