Great article. Not really following MMA at the moment and only just learnt the Spider lost. Haven't seen the fight.

lol Elliot, if you can transform me into an efficient working machine with a PM, by all means go ahead

Silva's age is going to catch up with him at some point just like it does for everyone else. I think that point is probably going to be obfuscated by Silva's random antics in the arena.

This is probably a pretty good wakeup call. Regardless of how robbed you felt Silva was here, at a minimum I probably wouldn't be betting on him again.

Weidman IMO. Shades of Edgar/Penn here. Legend goes down in controversial fashion, is even older and more vulnerable the second time around, loses in more decisive fashion?

Swooper with a fat stack in the main, he's in my section again. Update.

When writing the posts, I have to fight the urge to type in "Swoop" where his name should be -_-

I could see Weidman being over confident on the feet next fight and getting caught. Its going to be such a different fight who knows what will happen. I just can't wait to see how he comes back from a KO, it will also be interesting to see how his future opponents react to this. It might have given other MWs more confidence to step in there with him and be a little more aggro.

Pretty sure our guy Swoop is gonna be on the broadcast. He won't shut up (seems pretty standard for him lol) and he has a bunch of chips so the cameras can't get enough of him. lol I love it.

Anyone else surprised Davis is +300 vs machida? I was expecting closer to +200

May be worth a small prop on Davis by decision (if +500) hes powerful enough to hold machida down and will have a big size advantage

Dat ass.

Damn yeah I love Machida stylistically here but if Davis dec could be had north of +500, that would be a prop to bet IMO

Nice to see someone in the main I can root on a more "friend" basis seeing as Swoop is part of our MMA thread brethren. Best of luck to you (and anyone else if they are in it).

Also: I would hibernate in Miesha's ass for as long as possible.

Also, 1u on Rory for the upcoming card.

This card is screwing with my head though, there's some fighters that I'm considering betting on and yet if they lose I'll think "why did I bet on him", namely - Lawler, Guillard and Schaub.

I somewhat like Siyar, Guillard and even though I love to bet on Schaub for some reason and always fade Mitrione, I think this is a good matchup for Mitrione but will prob stay away at evens, if either guy becomes a decent dog i'll take it but I think I might have to say i'm leaning Mitrione atm even though i'll be cheering for Schaub

Regarding main, swoopae on twitter if u want updates tomorrow, I have 184k going into day 3, average is 108k or so and we're coming back to 800/1600 - ESPN took an interest in me when I was doing my I AM CAPITAO thing, got me mic'd up for a level and I got to own one guy pretty hard on camera in a hand while talking trash to him (a good irish pro) and they gave me a followup interview today - was scheduled between Durrrr and Nate Silver, two of my heroes so hopefully I run deep enough that some of it makes the broadcast, ESPN guy told me i'm good for TV so that's always nice

What is your I AM CAPITAO thing? Just you doing a Hevad Khan like shouting fit? The dorky poker players always moan about the players who are "good for tv" but I love it, the more personality the better so keep it up.

Did anyone seriously try to take down Mitrione yet? His TDD should be miles better than that of Lavar lol~ and I guess firepower should be similar to that of Schaub or maybe even slightly better. But I think the Mitrione's chin is not as glassy yet?

a less insane but equally loud/annoying type thing but with a lot of me trying to manipulate players, giving them nicknames, telling them im going to checkraise all 3 streets etc etc

Can't help myself.....

Above is a close up gif of the kneebar. It was very deep and actually looks like silva taps once, both subs were very close in this fight. Leglocks finish much faster than an armbars or chokes as they go from 0-100 pain/damage wise in a split second.

Mitrione out sucks. I'd love to see Struve vs Schaub and ranking wise it makes a bit of sense and is winnable for both guys leaning Struve but i'm pretty sure his broken jaw won't be healed in time

Gonzaga/Schaub 2 could be a possibility since Gonzaga suffered no damage in his last fight although the first fight kinda sucked it has potential to be really good between these two - you could actually say the same about Nog/Schaub 2 or Nelson/Schaub 2 rankings and availability wise etc. although there are probably better fresh matchups.

Miocic is probably ranked too high for Schaub now and probably wouldn't want the short notice

Is Pat Barry still on medical suspension? Barry/Schaub is winnable for both guys and would be fun.

On another note, met Robert Drysdale and Bang Ludwig when Elliot and I went to the fan expo, will def be cheering for the guys Bang is coaching and Drysdale in his debut after meeting them

Anyway, day 3 of WSOPME tomorrow, should get some sleep, thinking Guillard will be my major play at the next card, he's so much more talented than Danzig all it should take is a round of keeping his head together
