i think shogun is a good bet, he impressed me vs Gus, as i thought Gus was going to stomp him... on the other hand nog didn't do anything vs evans to impress me (actually just made it more obvious where his holes are)

Shogun might have gotten the fight if he didn't get taken down. I thought Shogun was landing really nice and a lot of exchanges where he got the better of Gustafsson(gotta give credit to gustafssons chin for this), especially r1,r2. But in r3 he got overwhelmed and was a bit gassed so Gustafsson could pound quite a bit on him.

Thoughts on the likelihood of Pearson finishing Couture? Likelihood of Pearson winning outright?

it would be funny if dana kept throwing him to the lions but never cuts him.

then when his contract expires, the ufc has the right to match other offers. so re-sign him.

then keep matching him up with killers until he's forced to retire.

Anyone else have the Mir/Cormier prop canceled at 5D? They initially had it mislabeled as being a 5 round fight, and didn't notice until over 2 weeks later, so they refunded all bets and reposted the line. Of course, in those 2 weeks it had been sharpened significantly from its opening of -210/+160, so I miss out on that.....blah.

Anyways, KZ/Lamas just opened at evens, and quickly jumped to +150/-190 (KZ's the dog).

Hope KZ gets out to +200 so I can play him as a dog. Going to be there live and it'll be nice if the guys I want to cheer for (KZ, Anderson) are the ones who are also +EV to bet

I would have capped it at close to evens too fwiw.

hehe after the fight KZ came back as KZ 2.0 tho... after considering retiring for a short while... KZ 1.0 was just too reckless (cought up in his own garcia hype)....

only problem with this KZ fight.. layoff after shoulder surgery and he seems to have left KTT and opened his own gym or so... not about bad blood tho I heard (he is still not earning too much and has to pay 40% taxes and 20% management fees or so)... so I hope he is still able to do his traning camp with the other korean killers ;D

but probably also gonna bet KZ at > +200... cant deny SOTN, KOTN, S/FOTN in winning efforts in a row... lol

If anyone is watching TUF can we say no spoilers in this thread? Unless you hide it under a spoiler obviously.

Won't get to watch the first QFs till Saturday

(I'm not just saying no spoilers because it's all about me but seeing someone say about TUF a few posts up made me think about it)

All seem fine, Fodor could have got one more maybe but the other three are fine and if the UFC is downsizing Fodor is fine too

OMG OMG OMG

/fanboy marks out

Four of my fav fighters to love or hate added to the card (I like Edgar, Oliveira and Siver and dislike Swanson)

Frankie and Siver ftw!

This card is going to be epic. Anderson Silva, KZ, Edgar and Siver on one card makes me a happy happy fan. The fact that there's only one fight on the card I don't care about and eight fights announced is pretty awesome. Surely they're only adding prelim fights from here but if they added ANOTHER main card quality fight or two this card would have to be one of the deepest for a while, 7/8 fights here could go on a main card, although really only six since Leben was so bad in his last outing but he's still a name. Everyone in the other six fights is at least top 20 in their weight class pretty much and in a lot of cases higher.

I wonder whether Edgar/Oliveira is co-main due to Frankie being ex-champ or KZ/Lamas due to #1 contender fight

From a capping standpoint I think Siver will decision Swanson or get knocked out early i'd assume Swanson will open as a fav so I might play Siver as a dog if he's +150 or better which I expect. I expect Frankie will be -400 or whatever against Oliveira, with the true line probably somewhere around there, he should win this pretty easily since he will be able to take Oliveira down at will if he doesn't get the better of the standup, which he should. He might even have enough power to KO Oliveira, he did finish Maynard after all, although at FW some of the power will be gone. I'd expect 30-27 Frankie is the most likely outcome, with the usual chance of judges giving a split decision to Oliveira after he loses all 3 rounds

Hmm, small bet on Zayats or Newton for the sweat?

How about the under instead actually. 1.2u @ +104 on U2.5 rounds, GL me!

Edit: Was so close to betting Newton instead, that looks like it would have been better.

I'm so bad at betting on Bellator.

Jeez why do they hate Oliveira so much?! They feed him to everyone lol...I think Edgar might actually get a finish one time, Do Bronx's chin is so mediocre. May look to play a KO prop if its a decent dog.

Swanson will probably knock Siver out, he's had trouble with aggressive hitters who get in his face in the past (Pearson, Cerrone).

lol @ cutting Fodor who actually has some talent and beat Stout IMO.

I'm definitely gonna be betting Zombie at anywhere near +150. Lamas is solid but this is a close fight.

I agree there I don't think Edgar puts him out cold but if he's +450 to get the TKO then I think it's worth a bet

**** I was thinking around +300 would be decent.

I think +300 would be around fair, but I expect better than +400 will be on offer. Inside distance +280 maybe? idk. I kinda think inside distance will be +350 a lot of the time
