OSP didn't want to tap in his hometown you could tell. Impressive by Glover

OSP could be enite in a few years but needs to go train with Bang Ludwig for his striking and Tristar or Jacksons or something for his grappling. He has so much potential but it isn't all there yet

Wow that was a brutal night for the judges. It's amazing these people are costing fighters so much money and altering careers. Hopefully White gives Johnson his win money, that was AWFUL. Worse then the Ross Pearson 1 a while back

He can train with Jesus, he is way to dumb and will never be a contender.

Rewatched R1, it's actually Dariush's after 4 minutes on very little of significance, but Johnson wins the last minute by so much that it probably evens or more than evens the strikes landed and he clearly did more damage.

This is the truth. The man trains in butthole nowhere yet see's all serious contenders training with elite well known gyms.

His fight IQ is even dumber then his business decisions out of the ring by choosing a nothing training camp.

All the athletisism in the world won't get u past the top 5-10 in any division. Time to move away from home and fulfill his potential.

I didn't do myself any favors with live betting tonight. I really thought Sirwan Kakai was going to win when I saw him outwrestle American wrestler Frankie Saenz in round 1. I live bet Kakai way too big as I later did with the Chris Camozzi point spread. And then Michael Johnson got straight out robbed in one of the worst decisions of the year which also cost me in live betting. But conversely, Beneil Dariush's lucky win saved my big parlay so that more than made up for it. And then Glover came through in a big way in the main event with that round 3 finish and submission so I ended up with a nice profit over all anyway.

Didn't have any bets on last but was super impressed by Amanda Nunes. She's number 2 in that division based on that performance last night I'll be loading up on her in her next few fights. Great footwork, movement and she's a decent athlete if her grappling defence gets any better don't think anyone other then Rousey is beating her.

The MJ loss hurt a bit since I did bet him, and had him in 2 parlays that I would have shipped, but yeah was a close fight, although MJ was the faster and better striker, he couldn't really dominate and do much damage, and the 3rd I had Darius winning.

Anyone knows of any proven MMA tipsters out there? Im just getting into betting MMA, mostly for the added excitement of watching the events.

Not a big betting card for me, decent win on Glover/o1.5, got very lucky with the Dariush robbery but lost on McMann-Nunes (had o2.5 or Nunes by KO) and Watson, finished up about half a unit overall.

My guess for the Johnson decision is that the judges probably gave round 2 to dariush so that it would be even going in to the third. After watching the fight I had a feeling that Johnson would get robbed because of something stupid like that

thats the last time MJ coasts in the last round, i gave Dariush the 3rd because MJ basically did nothing in that round

to be fair tho he had reason to coast because he was completely dominating the first 2 rounds outside of the leg kicks by Dariush

Dominating is a big word, he was pushing the pace, was the aggressor, but he barely did any damage, if he connected it never was really hard or powerful IMO

Well after Tate, who's next ?? if McMann would have won, she might have gotten next shot. I would like to see Cat try again, since first fight wasn't really a fight.

Ummm...but that's not how they should be scoring rounds. Not that scoring by rounds makes any frickin sense in MMA anyways.

I guess that depends if Cyborg ever gets around to making 135 - though my guess is Rousey fights Tate then takes time off to make movies or whatever.

Holly Holm isn't getting any younger so I assume another win for her and they'll start pushing that bandwagon pretty hard, since that's what she got brought in for in the first place.

Mostly I'm just having a laugh at how thin the division is when you can go from being a +200-odd dog one day, with no other real wins of note, and literally the next day people are saying "well she's definitely up for a title shot".

Why not, as it stands for contenders we have

Cyborg (obviously, but she needs to make 135 first). Cyborg has maybe 15 seconds to land a fight changing bomb before Rousey dumps her on the ground and starts looking for the armbar, because this is the one fight Rousey will take seriously - also probably through size/strength has the best chance of preventing the takedown.

Tate 3 they have the rivalry and Tate has a huge fan base, but she's already lost to Rousey twice - but she's dismantling the other contenders so she gets another shot eventually)... Rousey will trade for a while, then eventually we go back to judo throw, armbar, next.

Holm *Joe Rogan voice* RONDA ROUSEY HAS NEVER FACED ANYONE WITH THE STRIKING PEDIGREE OF HOLLY HOLM THIS WOMAN COMPETED IN PRO BOXING)... wouldn't be surprised if Rousey dumps her on the ground and submits her within a minute

Nunes - is at least athletic and seems strong and has good striking. Probably can't beat a few other girls on this list, and probably can't beat Rousey, but is at least more of a challenge than say Eye or Davis 2 would be for Rousey

Pena possibly the most interesting fight *if* Pena is as good as she could be, we don't really know as she needs to face and beat some Sara McMann/Alexis Davis/Jessica Eye type fighters first so we can see if she does to them what she did to the TUF girls from her season

Zingano 2 first fight was over before anything happened, but I don't see how Zingano can beat Rousey anywhere, so expect her to get finished in r1 again)

Eye (she can't beat Miesha Tate, so yeah, another r1 armbar for Rousey)

Kaufman 2 (why? idk, she doesn't pose any threat)

Davis 2 (Davis is skilled but just not athletic enough to compete and never will be, at least contenders like Cyborg/Holm/Pena are athletic)

Unless anyone new and spectacular arrives in the UFC, I expect us to see the next five challengers be Cyborg, Tate, Holm, Pena then one of Nunes/Zingano. At that point, Rousey has basically cleaned out the division.

I think Nunes should fight Zingano next and winner stays in contention. UFC need to give Holm and Pena safeish paths to title shots, as they're the only real options after Tate that can be sold as contenders if they can't set up the Cyborg fight

I agree. But it's the only thing that makes any sense. I'm sure they do it all the time especially when they have no idea what they are looking at and have no idea how to judge a fight properly.

I know that on Muay Thai fights the standard is to score the first couple rounds 10-10.

Is anyone here an actually proper MMA expert inside out and can re-watch the MJ fight and give high level review on the result ?

Was it correct,
If it was not correct what was the correct decisions.

Also I have to say it, if a fighter is pushing forward and making the fight, in my book that could actually be like rake back money, very small but there... you push and make the fight you get a faction of a point, a half a point you get some thing.

Even the winner of the fight said he could understand if the other guy got his hand raised.
