is/was a good bet because of shoguns chin, and also the lethality of shoguns striking / kicking.

would be a lock bet if 5rd fight,

added a little more.

May be a little biased but I disagree with the lil nog/rua decision. I mean it wasn't a horrible decision but I think the solid punches to the face should score more then the leg kicks which had limited effect.

Hmmm. 'FotN' went to Shogun/Lil Nog and 'PotN' went to Maia and Rousey. Would've given 'FotN' to Lopes/Vieira and 'PotN' to Alves and Cummins (the boy sure has some paper thin skin on his face). Free money for Rousey anyway.

Miesha Tate is in an unenviable position, much like Renan Barao and Junior dos Santos, in being better than the rest of their weight division except from one.

What happens after the inevitable in Rousey/Tate III? Somebody gets another chance at beating Rousey? The UFC are probably crossing their fingers that Julianna Pena can string some victories together or something like that.

Rousimar Palhares is a nasty fella. Elsa from 'Frozen' has a song for him.

Not sure what the scuffle with the Diaz brothers and Khabib Nurmagomedov was about.

A better comparison to Miesha Tate would be Jose Aldo (also, Daniel Cormier). Renan Barao and Junior Dos Santos aren't even the 2nd best fighters in their respective divisions.

Palhares was eyepoking and literally doing the pro-wrestling eye-rake over and over when Shields was on top of him.. and dip**** Maz never took a point. Then holds the sub way too long after Maz is trying to get him to let go. Gotta get suspended for a long time for that one.

Until someone beats Aldo, then absolutely NO. DC? Maybe, we'll see what happens if there's a rematch with Jones (probably the same result but hey, 'optimism'). Cormier vs. Gustafsson will be an interesting change of pace.

Also my comparison is still good because Barao and dos Santos both lost twice to the best person in their division at the time as has Tate which should have been my main point considering there's now a certain Fabricio Werdum in JdS's way.

Barao vs. Cruz would've been interesting. How shot is Renan now? Dominick would likely be a betting favourite for that.

EDIT: Would Cat Zingano beat Miesha Tate in a rematch? No idea what frame of mind Cat is in. It Cat gets a tune-up fight in before 2015 is out, it'd probably be at least mid-2016 if it happened.

Another record breaking winning UFC event! I upped my bets on live underdogs Vitor Miranda, Bigfoot Silva and Reginaldo Vieira over my usual stake and hit a lot of props too. All my favorites came in and I won almost every bet. It definitely pays to watch TUF Brazil like usual. 2015 is turning out to be an amazing and lucrative year.

Nice card Jimgunn, shame I didnt go harder this card as I liked the same side as you on pretty much everything

Ended up winning just under 2u, solid card overall, and would have been 4u or so if we'd had one more finish

Added 1u on Rousey-Correia to end in the first round @ -244 just before fight time, had me finishing up +0.2u on the card.

Boring card, might be spoiled after 189, but was mostly old has beens (''legends'') and ME was also so short and non competitive. To bad 191 also looks quite weak. Expecting good things from 192-194 tho

So what you're saying was Palhares was being Palhares? I wouldn't expect anything less from him.

I guess Shields is done as a contender for good this time, Palhares gonna Palhares

He's exciting to watch, so I want to like him, but he's also dirty so I don't

Only saw part of the Struve/Nog fight, Struve looked badish and Nog looked worse in r3, hoping Struve was better early but recap doesnt make it sound that way. I hope they give him another rank 15-25 guy to rebuild next. Nog needs to hang it up, or fight lower ranked guys. Glad he didn't get knocked out at least.

Bigfoot should be massive fade material in his next fight, Palelei was close to the TKO in r1 and then fell apart in r2
