So first a quick Q:

My fiancee is looking for a new video game to play for either xbox360 or wii. She really enjoyed zelda and mariokart for wii, and she liked sims for the Mac (goofy's head asplodes). Any suggestions?

looking from a girl's perspective, maybe mario party. and you can't really go wrong with wii sports

she sucks too much at wii sports lol.

i can play wii bowling for ever. almost bought a wii exclusively for that. figured i can make my money back in prop bets.

local circuit city is going out of business so everything was discounted tonight. picked up a 22" LG monitor $80 off. they also had a 67" TV $700 off, wish i wasn't a ssnl player and i would have swooped it up.

seems like all the random stuff i post here is really depressing. a friend of mine was found dead this morning. he lived in a city up north where he went to work as a chiropractor, i last saw him 3 weeks ago when he was down for a visit.

i don't think it has sunk in yet. i made some posts here this morn after i'd found out. i think i was still in deep shock, b/c i didn't feel the gravity of the situation at all.

i've spent all day with other friends just reminiscing and having a few drinks.

we're not sure exactly how yet. he was a severe diabetic and they found his insulin kit empty, but it's unsure whether he deliberately deprived himself or if it's a tragic accident, or if it's something else.

don't really have any other words atm.

What age was he? That's absolutely brutal dude. My condolences.

In other depressing news (although it seems so much more insignificant after El P's post) I failed one of my 6 modules in Semester 1 although in fairness I knew I'd failed it already. Hello at least 1 resit in the summer. I better pass all semester 2 ****!!!

This is kind of obvious but if you don't have it already then Mario Galaxy is your game... and Super Smash Bros is also really good.

i'm sorry to hear this El P. i lost a friend in hs and it was devastating. time is the best healer though. try and keep yourself surrounded by both friends and things to do...not sure how close he was to you, but just try to keep your mind off him. avoid spending time by yourself when you can think about him, just gets pretty dpressing.

mario galaxy was too trippy for her, ssb she doesn't really like playing by herself.

i came back from grocery and forgot to pick up peanuts (all i have is almonds in the house). I'm half motivated to go to my local pub on the corner, have a beer and take off with a hand full of peanuts.
