the first 2 points you make here are very life nitty, and i don't really know anything about basketball(?), so the third could be the trifecta.

-drinking games are great fun. wtf do you mean "don;t like to drink"? it's not like they've got a nice aged scotch and are playing beer pong with it. it's just some friends having some beers (that they're gonna drink anyway) and playing a game to consume.

-fact: everyone that has ever bet on anything will become a broke degen in the future. right? cmon.

Drinking Games are for people that don't like to drink? Thats the most absurd statement I have ever heard.

Very depressed that Minny didn't jump on the chance to say "WE'LL TAKE HIM!" after this. They had more than enough in expiring deals to save G. Shinn money.

Oh, and good luck keeping CP3 long-term after demonstrating your committment to winning, lol.
do you call the cops when you see teenagers in the park too?

What EL P, Ra_Z, Fubster said. I drink when hanging out with friends to just increase the fun. Playing games just leads to funnier things happening. Also it helps with any awkwardness at the beginning with girls.

Didn't expect to get any flak on here for betting sports since it's a poker forum. I just started 2 days ago and I have to say it's been a lot of fun. But I did start right at the trade deadline so there's been a lot of buzz around the nba. I'm 6-3 lifetime thus far =0

Edit- but you are right. it helps get people drinking who would normally not, which is a good thing obv.

i think what he was implying is that drinking games makes it more about downing the drink and less about enjoying it - hence you don't enjoy the booze. Personally i'm just too old to keep up.

On an aside i picked up some Crown Royal Cask 16. AMAZING! I don't know if its classified as a rye or cognac given how its made (I am far from a connoisseur), but def. something i would recommend. Incredibly smooth on the rocks.

I guess that's true. I don't really drink at all unless I'm playing a drinking game.

the games are usually really beyond dull, with the point of them to force ppl who otherwise would not get drunk to drink more.

People who like to drink need no such help.

ok, so i just got got back from the gym and where i weighed myself for the first time in a couple months and apparently i've gained a couple pounds so i get to start at 165.2!! that's with shoes on and my ipod in my pocket, so it's not super accurate but i will just measure that way again at the end of the bet.

not really sure how to measure body fat %, apparently if i get a cloth tape measure this site will tell me how to do it, but i am too lazy at the moment and will worry about that tomorrow.

i did take some sweet topless pics for you guys though, b/c i know you h*mopervs will enjoy them
