Hey, I'm sorry you've experienced issues with my website.

it seems like russian hackers have installed some malware on my server. It doesn't appear to be harmful, but just to be safe I'd say don't use the site until this is resolved.

The issue is being handled by my hosting company at the moment. Once it's resolved, they will take action to reduce the chance of something like this re-occurring. I was very upset to see this, but I guess it's one of the things you learn to deal with when building a website.

Quick update: The issues have been resolved. Apparently 100K websites were attacked on Sunday and my website happened to be among them.

We've improved our server security now and hopefully this doesn't happen again.

You're an american so you don't have pokerstars access and you're kind of not sure what it is exaclty you dont know- you don't know what you don't know anymore. what is the best possible study plan to get good at the game in a couple months?

Hi all, I'm pretty new to PLO but i've been playing poker overall for around 5-6 months. I'm basically a breakeven player at 2NL hold em. I've just found those games are basically 5 regs and 1 massive fish at each table and i've kind of hit a brick wall in that game. Anyway, the other day I played some PLO and a load of fun and decided I want to make it my main game and learn it. Anyway, can anyone recommend the most important concepts to read up on to beat PLO2 and hopefully build a bankroll?

Thanks all.

Get a coach if you're in a hurry to learn, always fastest. Search the marketplace forum for available coaches. Check out American sites thread in Internet Poker forum, I hear Bovada's decent.

Certainly, as long as you choose ones aimed at beginners or focused on theory. I wouldn't start with my midstakes vids, for example, hehe

Would imagine you get decent help with something like $50/hr to learn the basics. Can't say I've looked into the offering much recently.

Hope Everyone had a great Christmas! What's the smallest limit to start with profitably in your all's opinion? I realize this is a broad question. I spoke recently with a friend who plays plo online and live for a living as well as wsop events. His recommendation was to start with plo 25, as he said plo10 was just "too small". I know this is bankroll/budget dependant to some degree. My question assumes a person has enough to start anywhere from plo5 up to plo 50. Assuming the player is a beginning player with a decent beginner's grasp of the game. Also, player will begin with 2-4 tables of 6 max and slowly add more as he is comfortable. Ty for any and all insights and advice!

I would go with PLO10. It's good to learn in an environment where the money doesn't mean too much and you can easily reload if needed. You don't have to stay there for long, only until you've gained some confidence.

at 2/2 Live full ring, I've noticed 2 types of winning players:

1) Those who play with 4 cards that all work together.

2) Those who play almost every hand, raises in position, and 3bets on the button.
He plays the player. When out of position, he likes to check raise.
His aggressiveness gets him free cards.

If player #1 and #2 both start at the same time w/the same chip stack, player #2 will usually have more chips after a few hrs.

If you're player #1, how do you play against player #2? (moving to another table isn't an option.)

Do you want to sit to the left or right of player #2?
or even at the opposite side of the table? (ie: if he's seat 1, you want seat #5?)

Getting more than 1/3 of our stack preflop with aces is great in heads up pots, right? Do we still want to do it if we expect 3-4 way pot? Still shoving most flops since we have huge pot odds?
I am posting this hand just to illustrate the situation.

PokerStars - $0.05 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BB: $3.81
UTG: $1.69
MP: $7.82
CO: $9.14
BTN: $17.04
Hero (SB): $5.64

Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has J A A 3

UTG calls $0.05, MP raises to $0.20, CO raises to $0.72, fold, Hero raises to $2.46, fold, UTG calls $1.64 and is all-in, MP calls $2.26, CO calls $1.74

Flop: ($9.12, 4 players) 4 2 4
Hero bets $3.18 and is all-in, MP raises to $5.36 and is all-in, fold

Turn: ($15.48, 3 players) 4

River: ($15.48, 3 players) 9

It's not automatic if you're expecting to go multiway, nor is shoving every flop, but in this hand, it's the way to go.

If it goes multiway it is likely that someone else also have aces. Can we fold non premium aces preflop?
