haven't read lyle berman but would lay money that reading it would reduce your ev if he's advising never to raise utg. might have been correct in live games 20 years ago. def not right for online 6-max today or ever.

same as nlhe, people who limp are likely to be fish. i mean, i see someone openlimp online and it takes a hell of a lot to change my opinion. i iso them really wide, and i overlimp pretty wide as well, depending on my position and who's behind me.

It kind of reminds me of something I read in a Hwang book in like 2008ish (I think) - I had been playing plo online for maybe a year and a half, something like that.

He states that once "you get a few thousands hands in, you're ready to try the pre flop raise". Had a very hard time stopping laughing.

From twitter - obv no way to verify if he had looked at his cards first..

    barrygreenstein Barry Greenstein
I have been straddling and playing in the dark in the 5k PLO. One one hand a guy limped so I couldn't raise.

    barrygreenstein Barry Greenstein
The flop came Ac3h2h. He checked, I bet, he called. Turn was 10s. He checked, I bet, he raise all in.

    barrygreenstein Barry Greenstein
Now I looked and found AhAs5h5s! Top set, nut flush draw, gutshot, and extra blocker of the nuts!

    barrygreenstein Barry Greenstein
The poor guy was dead to one out with his set of deuces. That's the best looking in the dark hand I can recall.
