As promised with liverwurst and this cheddar caramelized onion cheese, sautéed red onions, spicy brown mustard and ciabatta.

No ragrets! Fantastic sandwich, might need to play with the bread and get a better quality liverwurst. Think I need to live to Wisconsin or something, Texas isn’t a hotbed for liverwurst.

Y’all still eat sandwiches? This one is just horseradish sauce on top and bottom, Swiss and roast beef on a dirt cheap generic everything bagel air fried for 3 min on 400.

Didn't know if I should post this here or in the egg thread. Anyway had some leftover brisket I smoked last week, some tater tots and a half of an avocado. Had to toss the tots and sub fresh hash browns as they had been in the fridge too long.

I posted this about Malucci's sandwich knowing I had this one in the can. I'm struggling for words on how it tasted as well.

The smoke of the brisket came thru and was a good idea to build a sandwich around. With that said, the rest of it was a hodgepodge of a good idea, that really didn't payoff in the end.

I put what I thought was a smidge of finely chopped onion in the avocado, but the taste was definitely noticeable. Certainly didn't need 2 slices of pepper jack cheese. Probably better with none. Couldn't really taste the scrambled eggs as they were overpowered by the brisket and onion. And the hash browns, while adding a nice crunch were... meh, whatever.

Overall a 3 out of 10. I think deconstructed, this would have been a solid meal. Brisket, scrambled eggs, hash browns with avocado toast sans the onion and cheese. Live and learn.

Yeah, I too have found sometimes great ingredients can fight with each other in a sandwich or other plate/combination. I do love the honest review and everything did look great.

i also appreciate the honest review.
seems like you could also take the brisket (maybe cubed?), eggs, taters, half the cheese, a smear of avocado, and add some hot sauce and/or salsa and roll that thing up in a tort or make tacos.

Actual tocino (a sweet pork breakfast meat) as well as pandesal (the bread) are yeah. This is just tocino flavored spam and not real tocino though.

But yes all the ingredients were bought at a Filipino grocery store next to a Jollibee.

it's interesting how hormel selectively targets the Filipino market with tocino spam
i can't imagine what the real tocino flavors taste like, but i look forward to finding out.
