Read the backs for this, btw. "Less salt" usually just means like 25% these days... they're usually still chock full of poison. Name brand "full salt" often has less salt than no name "reduced salt". Also less salt usually just means they add more MSG so if your box or can says "natural flavourings" or "yeast extract" or one of any number of other things you're just choking down MSG.

Adding to that thought, anything in a store that touts 'less' of anything is usually still chock full of said thing and you should stay the f away.

This does not work.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with MSG, the only negative effect it has is that some people are allergic to it.

i can't remember if i posted this one, and i'm not rooting through all these.

i've found frozen edamame to be an excellent ice pack, especially for my back. they stay cold for a while. they are soft, so if you have to lie on them, they don't hurt. the pack is form fitting to whatever body part.

I don't know about that, but I know for sure salt is not unhealthy unless maybe you have some related health problem.

Right, salt is only bad for you if you are genetically predisposed for salt to be bad for you and "only" like 30% of people are.

And when I say bad I mean excessive intake. Our bodies do require quite a bit of salt in our diet, there is a reason that humans really like the taste of salt, we need it.

Yeah the arrow symbol for the gas tank rules. Last year I was out of town with I think a Cobalt rental and before returning to the airport you have to fill the tank up of course. Well I get out of the car and for the life of me cannot figure how to open the gas tank. It was not operable from the exterior. So I looked all over the MFing interior for a lever or something and didn't find one. I was so pissed off and almost asked some stranger if they knew how to pop the lid open. But I had to catch my flight so I just drove back to the airport and bitched at the rental guy, who luckilly for me was of an inferior race, telling him I couldn't fill it with gas because I had no Fing clue how to do so and he showed me the lever was on the door side of the driver's seat, down by the floorboard. I was like "Yeah that makes a lot of ****ing sense. I'm not paying for this gas." <---- standard Anglo play right here.

He didn't charge me for it which is good b/c they charge you like 3x the cost if you don't fill it yourself.

Yeah, this.

Also, there's an owner's manual in the glove box for this exact reason.

I've never had a car with a gas tank lid you couldn't open from the outside, so I'd have no clue where to find this lever either.

Well, now I know. Seeing as I've driven exactly 1 vehicle with this terrible feature. How I was supposed to know without ever operating a vehicle with this feature is beyond me. And lol @ reading the manual when I got a flight to catch and can just tell the guy "I'm not paying this stupid fine". It was actually my boss not paying as I would have been reimbursed anyway.

Also I'm illiterate so reading a manual would have proven futile.

EDIT: Actually I told the guy I'd pay him like $10 which was about the cost that the gas would have been but not 3x that. He said don't worry about it.

Instead the guy got to tell this story about the guy who couldn't open his gas cap Worth way more than the $10 imo.

yep. i've had my car for a while but the manual still comes in handy when you want to find out stuff like where you should put the jack to lift up the car when changing a tire or how often you should have fluids changed.

i thought car manufacturers were going away from this to avoid people siphoning off your gas or blowing it up a la No Country For Old Men. at least, of the 5 or so cars my family has had when i was growing up, none of the lids were open-able from the outside (all part of the toyota/lexus/scion family, though, aside from an oldsmobile).

i'm curious now, how many people have gas tank lids you could open from the outside on their current car?

I've owned nothing but fairly modest American cars but all of them were openable from the exterior. And I've only had two of them blown up by Anton Chigurh.

1992 Ford Tempo
1998 Ford Contour
2003 Chevy Impala

Have also driven several rental cars (albeit cheapish American cars) and the modern Cobalt was the first time I'd seen it.

Dude calm down. Go crank some GNR man.

I'll not weep for the rental car industry. I think they're way up on me.
