As LKJ and RDH suggest, I’m not trying to hold golf to an elite posting standard. I guess I’d say that when I post, I try to think through what I post and ask if it adds value, even if only a little. I guess I’m asking golf tondo the same.

I will often type something out and then not post it. These are usually longer posts - post one liners and never look back - and the reason they never see the light of day is I decide they are lame, I opt to disengage from a discussion that's turning everyone into an idiot, or I realize I'm falling into the trap of correcting the internet.

Don't get me wrong, I like participating in a good old fashioned Custer-Fluck as much as anyone else. But it should be entertaining to more than just me. And if I wanted to post a stream-of-consciousness I'd get a blog.

If you haven't noticed Fabian, I have a penchant for tying quotes in with movies. And I like to share my love of moe OOT community and the containment thread in particular.

I was asked what things I like. Movies from the 1970s and 1980s. I loved Amadeus, so when I see an opportunity to insert that into a post of mine, I pounce. And, I must admit I get extra excited since 27offosuit told me how to embed Youtube video.

There are far too many posters, none of them mods, that are highly aggressive in this thread. My suggestion is that you PM your concerns to a mod.

If you would like to engage in a civil discussion, I am all for it.

I think a self-imposed character-limit would be a far better road for golf to take. The length of most of his posts is what is so overwhelming and objectionable* to the reader.

*subject matter of the ESA thread being the exception

Hm..... If you never feel that you are predictable, boring, without adding value, posting to much and to long, throw the first stone. I often feel that I am all that + I have a stream of consciousness

so it is not my place to criticize golf. I somehow never noticed him until he made his appearance here. And I put smilies in my posts :P

It seems to me that the reason posters get contained isn't that you're uninteresting to interact with. You get contained because you take over threads and drown out all other conversation in them.

So by having you contained, the forum gets the best of both worlds. Posters can interact with your excitable nature, while having other threads able to develop without being dominated by you.

As far as I can tell, there are no official containees in this thread.

So why the f&ck go into a contaminant thread when there is nobody contained just to attack a poster? Bizarre.

I wanted to discuss the Kevin Spacey downfall and there was no official thread.

If people feel they want to critique my posts in a constructive manner, sure. Attack? GTFO.

An example of my commitment to improving.

Embedding is so much better than linking a video. For 10+ years I did linked.

Also, another example, someone went to 27offsuit saying I posted too often in the ESA thread. He very politely requested that I limit my posting to once a day. That was a few months ago. Since then, I have probably made 10 posts total in that thread.
