I just read this post and came to a realization, for real.

The reason I have spent years struggling with addictions such as gambling and alcohol are to escape what is nothing but for the most part misery.

I have used those things as an escape. Its the only time I really ever feel alive and enjoying myself.

Pretty sad.

I also felt happy when out and about with women that I enjoyed spending time with. But other than that, its pretty much it.

The only other thing that comes to mind would be dominating in the office and putting up the best numbers of anyone. I can say I had some satisfaction in that as well.

Please get help beast. Jfc. It isnt worth it - 10 years ago i was a drug addled moron with a minimum wage job. 5 years ago i still made $8/hr. Now i have a degree and a good job. Things can change, if you really want a better life. Your situation isnt insurmountable - hard, yea, and you’ll probably need to make a lot of hard changes. But dying isnt a better alternative, there’s nothing out there, it just goes dark.
