Closing day on our new house...pizza rolls for lunch! They are still the boss of me, Los Feliz Slim, since I have two burn marks on my arms from countless mishaps with pizza rolls in the oven.

Based on thread recs I added grilled jalapenos to my usual Five Guys burger the other day. A+++++++

Went to BK today to give their snack wrap a try. Saw the new Caesar salad wrap and decided to go with it. My order being that and an ice water (8oz charged .50). Totaled 6.95 and this is in little rock, ar. Marginally bigger then MCdonalds sw and not as tasty. Chicken was dry not enough caesar etc etc. Would be ok if was 2 dollars, but would still go for mcd's.

i thought it was an unspoken rule of survival to never consume yolk-intact eggs from ff places.

You guys don't like Qdoba? I think the peppers are a lot better there than Chipotle and the fact that they have chicken tortilla soup. Meat is probably not as good although there is a lot of variance at both places

I can't say I'd go to qdoba if they didn't have queso sauce, but, they do, so I go sometimes.

I love the BBQ sauce at qdoba. Ancho chili BBQ burrito wins.

Queso sauce and tortilla strips puts qdoba on top of chipotle.

The Mexican Gumbo at Qdoba is killer.

Also, yesterday I swung by Panda and they have peppercorn shrimp that was better than expected. Give it a try folks.

I like the breakfast quesadillas at Qdoba, not sure if that's common everywhere. Chicken and egg or chorizo and egg. They are pretty elite.

I'm also 2/2 on popcorn chicken at BK. Kung Pao sauce is fantastic.

I hate how that BBQ sauce is an upcharge though...

Now Sioux City, Iowa has a Moe's and a Pancheros, though no Chipotle or Qdoba. I wish the Moe's wasn't right next to the Culver's...

3 years ago Alan Richman travelled the USA eating a bunch of pizza in order to find the best in the land. Great Lake Pizza in Chicago was voted no. 1. I've been a couple of times and it is outstanding.

Tomatillo Salsa and Sweet Corn



All ridiculously good. I've also had their salad, and it was one of the best salads I've ever had, and didn't resort to any truffle or other super fancy ingredients.

You can find more info on the ingredients they use here, they use high end, mainly local produce, and the chef is one of these crazy artists who just wants to make amazing pizza (Great Lake seats about 12, and is only open 22.5 hours a week). Lots of the reviews mention rude staff, but they've all been super genial whenever I've gone. Nearby is Hopleaf, an outstanding beer bar, which is ideal to go to if you have a long wait for a pizza, or just for fun.

ive never been there but just looking at it i can safely say that is not the best pizza in the US. That being said, the combos look interesting and I would certainly eat it.

It's mainly a BC chain with one location in Edmonton, breakfast is awesome there.

Saw on the menu they have a new burger: peanut butter, bacon and jalapeno as well as a peanut butter, banana and bacon milkshake.
