I'm pretty sure I've posted this before (probably at least twice but I don't remember 'cause my memory is ****) but ~30 years ago on Friday nights my parents would take my brother and I on a drive-thru adventure for dinner. BK for whoppers, right next door to the MCDs to order only fries, and two doors down to A&W for root beer floats.
Another variant was whoppers and then to the Foster's Freeze across the street for fries and shakes.
Thinking back on the experience they are probably the reason why I try to hack FF menus.

Hadn't eaten all day yesterday and had to attend a 2 hour meeting scheduled to run from 5-7pm. I knew I HAD to have something to eat before then so I went through the Wendy's drive thru for a Daves double-cheeseburger and a diet-coke to chow down on while driving to the meeting.

Dave's double-cheese burger was one of the best I have ever had from Wendy's... Thanks Dave!!! So juicy and absolutely-****ing-delicious. Drink was spot-on also.

Not sure if this is just regional but the Wendy's in Colorado have Dave's Cream Soda in those special soda dispenser machines with the touch screens. Cherry, Orange or Grape and they are damn delicious. I always go Cherry myself.

Had McDonald's crispy guac and jalapeño chicken sandwich. Wished I'd have got KFC or DQ sandwich instead. Passable but why oh why did I get mcds chicken?!

Where do you live? I don't recall not seeing a freestyle machine at a Wendy's in a long time no matter the location (even in the middle of nowhere because I'll usually stop at Wendy's).
