Pay no attention to the photographs, br0s. This guy has a preconceived notion.

Wait. The most common theory right now is that Ukrainian separatists, rebels, whatever, shot down this Boeing 777 *IN ERROR* thinking it was a military cargo plane? Really?

I'd just rather choose to believe that 4 guys capable of operating land-to-air missiles can tell the difference, from radar, or from naked eye, between a civilian Boeing 777 and a military cargo plane (which I've heard is something like 10-20% of the size of a 777, and gives off a different type of radar signal.)

I don't see how this wasn't an intentional shot on the passing-by 777 by whoever fired the missile. But who knows. Who am I to know any better than the tens of thousands of pundits and talking heads around the world.

maybe it's one of those takes one hour to learn how to fire it, takes 3 months to learn how to use it properly type of deals.

Probably not, but he might see Vietnam, Part III if a bunch of shiny new U.S. armaments show up in Ukraine.

If this transcript is legit it certainly appears to be an accident carried out by idiots.
Also, it would be completely illogical for the Russian military or separatists to do this purposefully. This will be extremely counterproductive to their goals both locally and internationally.

I think the US could do better than to start fighting more Vietnams.

You're correct, the airliner with 298 people on board that was shot down earlier today is not being reported on.

I think CNN confirmed aliens about 30 mins after initially reporting the crash

It doesn't matter what you believe or think. The fact is that the physics of high intensity & high velocity blasts or explosions are extremely complicated and full of many variables which will never be known. They are also very hard to model, let alone predict the state of the debris.

Clues can be found within the debris as to what might have caused the break up or whatever the cause of the accident was, but that's wholly different from the above.

As many as 100 of the world’s leading HIV/Aids researchers and advocates may have been on the Malaysia Airlines flight that crashed in Ukraine, in what has been described as a “devastating” blow to efforts to tackle the virus.

Apparently Ukraine shot down a passenger airliner in 2001 departing from Tel Aviv. Killed like 70 people

Pretty sure there was a story semi similar to this where a girl survived one of the big tragedies of the year (Sandy Hook? Boston marathon?) only to be killed in the Aurora shooting.

Not sure on the specifics so this post kinda sucks, but what you said reminded me of that.

I saw this. His quote was something to the effect of "The fault for this clearly lies with whichever state the aircraft was flying over." Normally I would say that is logically correct, but with the politics of the region I don't think that can be confidently said.

Just saw this about 5 minutes ago, didn't write down the names of the family but an older couple lost their son on the plane that disappeared and their step-granddaughter and her husband on this plane.

I keep seeing reports saying that it is critical that the black boxes are recovered from the rebel groups and that the scene on the ground is contained as to not be contaminated. I'm not sure I understand this. Obviously if the reason for the crash is unknown the black box and scene would be key to solving it. But we KNOW this plane was hit by a missile right? What is hearing what was going on in the cockpit and knowing how the instruments on the plane were working before being hit by a missile going to accomplish? Sorry if this is ignorant, I just don't see how it will help. Maybe someone can explain rather than just calling me an idiot?

That prank call is hilarious, sad that the first thing that guy thought of was pranking the news station but hilarious none the less. To me the funniest part was that even for a little while after this other news outlets were still reporting that MSNBC had an exclusive that a US Staff sergeant at the embassy witnessed the missile hit the plane. Seriously just terrible journalism. This guy was probably sitting in his living room in Detroit. How plausible could his story have been that you put him on life live, national TV lol **** comeon producers, check the caller ID. The anchor probably doesn't deserve much blame here but it sure is fun to laugh at her.

I know there was a guy who survived both atomic bombings in Japan. That is pretty nasty.

Just saw for the first time that about 100 HIV/AIDS researchers were on this plane, not sure how I missed this. Who is going to set the odds that Shane will post ITT that one of those researches had the cure so the CIA blew it up? Wait the CIA exists right?
