I agree with Dids. The volleys are more entertaining, less aces. Their inferior power actually helps.

This exactly.

Men's tennis just doesn't have the back and forth (based on what little tennis I've watched over the last few years) that I used to enjoy- and still have enjoyed in (again, allbeit not much) in the women's matches I've watched.

Women have longer rallies only because they suck and just push the ball towards the middle of the court over and over. If that's your thing, good for you, but I'd rather see shorter points with larger risks taken than long rallies because both players are hoping for an unforced error instead of a winner.

women's tennis is much more palatable than the majority of women's sports, but you'd have to be borderline ******ed to find it more entertaining than men's.

Meh.

Women's tennis builds more dramatic tension. Maybe if I was a hardcore fan of tennis I'd just be grossed out with their fail, but for me seeing a long rally is more interesting in the 5 minutes I watch inbetween cooking shows and MTV JAMS than seeing some dude bomb forehands and own fools.

Although, unfortunately, there are people out there who abuse their position of 'power'. There's a guy known around Vegas who basically used to get teens naked and perform sexual acts as part of getting them to "release their inhibitions" to be proper actors. He keeps changing his name/workshop and there were a bunch of articles when he was first busted. I don't think they could ever pin anything real on him so he's just out there keepin' on keepin' on. Gross stuff. And sad what people will accept thinking that it could lead to their big break.
