am i doing something wrong, i hook up my iphone to the computer and the window no longer comes up to view the folder of my pictures, it isnt under my computer either, is there any other way to get my pictures over to my computer without having to email everyone ?

What IM apps are people using on their Phones? And I agree about the 8 pages of apps, but really only use about 10 on a regular basis LOL.

I was using eBuddy, but I just bought Agile Messenger since it was on sale for 1.99

And for those interested 1Password Pro is on sale today for FREE. As in Beer.

I've been using BeejiveIM ever since I got my GS back in July. Haven't tried any others so I can't really compare, but it's been working perfectly for me for both AIM & Google Talk. The push notifications make texting virtually obsolete except when I have to deal with neanderthals without it.

I use IM+ myself. More expensive but it has the same push notifications as everything else + Skype + FB Chat integration.

My sister has had an iPhone for a year. I'm getting one soon and joining her plan.

How much wiggle room is there in phone cost/plan cost/activation fees etc? Are they all set in stone or can you negotiate some with the reps at the at&t store?

So, all of the sudden Lockinfo has stopped working for me. I haven't installed an update or anything and it just no longer shows up. I have toggled it on and off in Winterboard and checked to make sure nothing happened to the Config file and it seems fine.

I assume the next thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling, but was interested to see if anyone else has any ideas or has had similar problems before doing so.

Alright so my old computer which I synced with is dunzo. I'm transfering all my Music and Movies to my External. Should I also transfer all the iTunes files? Will this allow me to keep things the same on my new computer?

I want to be able to keep my syncs going even on the new computer. So no point in transfering all the itunes folders from my old computer then?

What will happen the first time I go to sync on the new computer? Will it delete all the music and apps off the phone?

It will give a warning that your iphone's music is synced with a different computer, and will ask if you want to sync your music or not. Might as well copy over all the music, let it sync (will delete the music on your iphone), then sync the music back from your new computer

I believe you can get around it, but you need access to the old computer.

If you export your playlist that you are syncing (if doing it that way), and then import it (this requires all your files to have the same path on both computers), it won't require you to sync again.

Edit: I had success doing this when going from win7 beta to win7 RC, but when going to the production build of win7 I just started over, so it isn't super fresh in my mind

There is app backup (app store apps) and apt backup (cydia stuff), but it doesn't backup some settings for the programs, just the list of them and it will re download all of them automatically IIRC.

Obviously its not as sleek and you wouldn't have it on your phone at all times, but would you really want the extra battery on your phone all the time anyway?

I've got one, it works fine. I hardly ever use it but but it is super handy in situations where you know you're going to use it a bunch and be away from a normal charging solution.
