I had programs that did this previous with both my Nokia and Motorola phones.

You would have saved yourself 50 bucks if you had kept up with the thread just recently because it was just discussed.
Sweet!

Let's make it win-win. I won't hold you to the $50, but if you'd like to send it to PPA, that would be great. PM me if you need the link. Thanks!

Dids - I haven't tried the pay version, I've only used the app for reading, I think the pay version makes it easier to post or something. The lack of a "go to first unread" feature is its real downfall, if it had that it would be far more useful. That said, needing to zoom, etc, on Safari gets real old real fast, that's why I think Kaytri is better for browsing.

Help!

My wife has about 300 photos she's taken with her iphone 3GS and wants to save them to her computer (a piece of crap PC)...how do i do this?? The only photo albums that show up in itunes on her phone are ones that are already on her computer.

We did manage to put all of those photos on her phone thru syncing.
So yeaaa us.

But that's not what we want to do. I thought there'd be an itunes photo library on the computer just like there is for music...but apparently not...

So what do i have to do besides emailing 300 photos one at a time?

Dominic,

is the iPhone jailbroken?

if not, there's a PhotoSync app, which shares the photos on your iphone with a computer. i've never used it though.

if it is jailbroken, there's another method via SSH.

hers is not jailbroken...so all i have to do is download the photosync app? Cool, thanks.
01-27-2010 , 01:12 PM
wait don't buy it yet!

reviews say it's only pictures in your Camera Roll. some reviews even say that the app simply stopped working. sorry.

No need to buy anything.

When plugging the iphone into a mac, you should be able to use iphoto.

If plugging into a PC, it should show up as an attached camera, and you can use the scanner/camera tool from the control panel.

we both have a pc and i'm trying it with mine right now....okay, my phone/camera is there in the control panel...but there doesn't seem to be anything else that opens it up so i can see the photos...

Doesn't it just appear in Windows Explorer like a regular Camera? At the bottom of you "My Computer" Section?

After you double click the camera/scanner icon in control panel, you should see a window with your phone displayed. If you double click your phone, or click on it and then click the "Get pictures" link on the left side of the window, it should open a wizard to get your pictures.

Does anyone have T Mobile service and have an iPhone? My roommate is getting the new iPhone (3G/3GS or something) and has a first gen iPhone that he offered to me. I have no idea how, or if, it would work. Preliminary googling just gave me a bunch of info about not being able to use T Mobile's 3G network, and only being able to connect via 2G or EDGE. This really isn't an issue for me, I don't even own an iPod, so I highly doubt I would be using the full capabilities of the iPhone.

Thanks!

yeah, it doesn't do that...when i click on my phone icon all i get is the properties with no other options...

Is there a way to make the camera not ask me whether I will allow it to use my location? This is always a slight annoyance.

What I did was open up a Photobucket account. You then get an email address directly at Photobucket. I then emailed my pics there. From there, you can save them anywhere on your computer that you want to and also keep them on Photobucket.

but emailing the dozens or even hundreds of pics that might be on her phone one at a time would suck by that method. not much better than just emailing them to yourself.

There's also a photobucket app that allows you to upload photos direct to your photobucket account.

I have that app but I think that's just for new photos taken, not old ones. Isn't that right?

I want to reformat the computer that my iPhone is synced to. What am I looking at to recover my backups and apps in iTunes? All my music is on a different partition so that's no problem.
