You know I was gonna post the exact same thing about my wife, but then I looked up and noticed she lived with me, so I just told her instead.

The first one is bad, but it's worse when they actually address the deceased, like 'hope you're ok up there' or 'hope you're proud of me' etc. They are never going to be able to see that status. Ever. It's just a sympathy reach.
Also, on the second one, even if the wife can see it on his Facebook, why does it need to be written there? Do they need affirmation from all their friends about how wonderful of a husband he is for taking 10 seconds to write a Facebook status? Ridiculous.
Same applies to couples that write they love eachother on the other persons wall, then proceed to comment 50 times on the statuses. Have that conversation in a private message, not on everyone else's feeds.
