Yea, being a notorious joke thief couldn't have anything to do with it, just misogyny of course.

Amy Schumer’s Netflix special attacked by online trolls; comedian defends herself

As first reported by the comedy website Splitsider.com, members of the Reddit forum The_Donald organized a campaign that led to a spate of one-star ratings for “The Leather Special.”
I guess The_Donald is very concerned about joke stealing.

Members of that subreddit are remarkably stupid, but the truly weird thing is their literal worship of Trump. "God Trump" and "God Emperor" are common phrases over there. Bizarre.

Seriously?

She might as well do an impression of the comic she took the joke from as well.

It's like she's daring us to remember Eddie Murphy,Dane Cook or one of the greatest comedy albums of all time,Skanks for the Memories.

Or maybe she's pulling the long con and doing some sort of social experiment on telling men's jokes by a woman.

In either case,it was bad.

****ing cock **** ****ers CNN. I had 3 History of Comedy episodes recorded. Got a nice healthy buzz prepared to watch all 3. Every. Single. One. Pre-empted by some bull**** breaking news because Trump farted or something. #)$*@O#i4o3j4o43uio

Lol Dane Cook.

For reference - what did you think of Schumer's other specials? Because I've seen a couple and came away thinking she's the funniest woman going right now (well at least standup - Kristen Wiig wins acting).

But then again I'm not terrified of a woman who talks about sex the way a man would.

Her first special was good, her first album was very good. The first 2, maybe even the 3rd, season of her show was really good more often then not.

But this latest special is easily one of worst on netflix right now. God ****ing awful.

Cheech and Chong are coming in May to Talking Stick and I got a good seat bec I get pre public sale notifications. I literally have NO idea what to expect except some form of hilarity but, imr, it has to be a must see.

Got it.

Pretty much the hardest thing on earth is to stay funny for an extended period of time. It's up there with trying to stay hip with teenagers (RIP Abercrombie, RIP soon to snapchat).

Carlin got pretty bitter/old/cranky his last few specials. Robin Williams went into suckland so deep everyone forgot he used to be funny. Steve Martin was smart enough to move to movies. Eddie Murphy stopped being funny a long time ago. Richard Pryor tailed off. Bill Cosby, well. Seinfeld's stuff hasn't aged well.

Bill Hicks, Sam Kinneson and Mitch Hedberg remain legends because they died before the decline.

I have a ton of respect for comedians like Jonathan Winters, Joan Rivers and Don Rickles who stayed pretty funny over decades. Louis CK seems to have that kind of staying power. Jim Gaffigan too in his own lightly non-offensive way.

Yeah, it was very disappointing.

So on the subject then - best female special of 2016?

It's highly subjective who the funniest woman is and fwiw I liked the special(s?) Jen Kirkman has on Netflix.

CNN ****ed up my whole night last night. I spent an hour trying to find something funny to watch, getting progressively drunker. Finally I ended up watching 2014 and 2015 Royals highlights on youtube.

Maria Bamford wins best female comic by about a lightyear for me. She is easily on the list of best comics currently working, male or female as well. Sarah Silverman also has some serious skill, but not quite as much material as I'd hoped.

I was also furious about CNN not playing the HOC eps when they were supposed to, and I can't seem to find them elsewhere. Tried recording them when they replayed, but it was more CNN talking head bs. Any tips on where to find them?

Oh hey, for those in the SeaTac area, I'll be opening next weekend at the Tacoma Comedy Club. Jonathan Kite is the headliner.

It's pretty exciting, my first extended time on the road. I'm doing 10 weekends across the country this summer.

I have them on demand on TWC - and it only has the first 3 eps available (the ones that actually aired). So I'm guessing they will replay ep 4+ at some point and then it will become available on demand.

They did that with Mike Rowe's show for a while before I think they just dropped it. Almost every ep was pre-empted by some BREAKING NEWS, and this was back before Trump. Bourdain's show must be a much bigger hit because they almost never pre-empt it - unless there's an actual crisis.

There was a great fark.com link yesterday to a Doug Stanhope Yelp review.

A friend of mine tried to drag me to a Stanhope show once, and I was like, "Isn't that one of those ass-clowns from the rehashed Man Show?"

I practically had a gun to my head from this comedy nerd, and Stanhope was playing a block from my apartment. I had ten grams of mescaline (extracted from San Pedro Cactus and recrystallized into the citrate for safety purposes and lemon flavor), five grams of DMT, five sheets of acid, an ounce of mushrooms, two ounces of sour diesel, and a bad attitude.

I stayed at home on a Friday night playing Tiger Woods golf on my PS3, drank 3/4 of a bottle of Laphroiag, jerked off, and woke up the next day feeling like I missed out on nothing.

I should have kidnapped Stanhope, Duct-taped him to a chair, fed him psychedelic drugs and booze, and told him: "Make me laugh, funnyman."

For those of you who were wondering, here is the link to:
