loved this. Bill Burr easily my favorite standup now next to Norm MacDonald who doesn't work enough.

I'm a little late to the party but I finally watched Bo Burnham's latest and I feel pretty good saying its his best work by far, though maybe not his funniest. He's always had these sometimes subtle undertones of what he's going through "hidden" in his work, but towards the end of this one, dude just let that **** out! Phenomenal special!!

now i got chappele on wednesday night.
I loved Hinchcliffe's Netflix special. Sucks it has less the 2.5 stars in the rating.

Netflix ratings aren't universal

I thought We Think We Know You ending from what was much more impactful as it was a slap in the audiences face.

Also hilariously fitting with all these people on youtube and twitter talking about how they are extremely worried for his mental health based on this ending(even though the very last scene shows he is happy). Its obviously he embellishes the troubled artist act and people still think they can understand his mental health from the hour of standup. From his interviews its fairly obvious he is just tired of standup and wants to get more into the writing aspect of comedy, the ending wasnt about him as a person but about him as a standup comedian.

I do think the "Thank You [city], I hope you're happy" was a greatway to end each show.

chappelle was great last night as expected. some very funny bits. donnell rawlings was a decent opener but i was disappointed because he was using almost all the same material as he used when i saw him last summer at the oddball fest. fortunately i'm usually very drunk/high at these things so i don't remember the re-used jokes until after the fact

I find Tony Hinchcliffe to be hilarious as well, but I can see how he isn't necessarily for everyone since his humor is so very dark. I saw him at The Comedy Store maybe a year ago and he was on very late within the show so like 70-80% of the audience was gone.

Can't believe how long it took for me to find Steve Hughes. He's perfect if you're looking for another Hicks or Stanhope to watch

Me and my wife loved the new Bo special. I was crying at the "eat a dick/lick my clit" bit toward the end. He's great.

Cant wait for the new Jim Jefferies on Netflix on 7/1

Really enjoyed Pete Johansson's Netflix special appropriately titled "You might also enjoy Pete Johansson" since that is how I found it.

I'm late to the game and actually just started checking out Netflix recently, and I'm not very familiar with the search function on it, so could you guys possibly recommend some good stand-up specials to check out on there? I've tried searching for "stand-up" to try to see what all stand-up specials might be available, but it seems as though you have to search for specific comics by name. If someone can tell me how to be able to search for/browse all comedy specials on Netflix please do. Otherwise, if y'all could recommend some good stand-up specials to look for on it Netflix, it would definitely be appreciated. Thanks!

Totally agreed. Went downhill with all of that political talk that just wasn't interesting or funny.

Az, search for Bill Burr, Jim Jefferies, Anthony Jeselnik, Bo Burnham. All of those guys got awesome specials. Even that one above by Jim isn't bad, just disappointing compared to previous specials, and he has another special on there called "Bare" which is fantastic. I'd recommend watching Bare first because his other special has some references to it.

edit: also, you can click "comedies" and then on the subgenres drop down menu that has "stand-up" in it.

You from Tucson? I'm probably not very far as I'm just a few blocks from the U of A.

From the main page hit browse and choose comedies, then on that page there is a sub-genre drop down menu and stand up comedy is a genre choice there

Jefferies definitely got a little preachy in the home stretch but I thought the special was fairly enjoyable. Agree that the beginning was the strongest part though.

i didn't watch the special yet (may do tonight), but i thought it was pretty fantastic live and drunk, whereas i thought his show this year was a significant drop off. so hopefully he fixes that set up as he goes otherwise it's going to be even more disappointing haha.
