Fighting with your own team might not be that bad a strategy since they can't vote you out. It makes him less likely to get nominated, and even if he does get put up next week it is still in his teammates best interests to try to keep him in the house.

I agree that women understate their number, but being as hot as she is, saying it's only one is almost so unbelievable that it's believable. If she was going to lie, I think she'd say it was more than just one.

Agreed. It becomes very tough for the athletes to boot Jeff since Laura is probably the only person who would put him up (assuming that people like Ronnie will throw the competition, which they probably should). If HoH comes down to, say, Jeff and Jordan, Jeff will obviously just throw it to her so she can put up Jessie and Russell.

For me, the most interesting part of Thursday will be to see just how many people throw HoH. You could make the argument that roughly half the house should not want to win it; letting the athletes take on Jeff and Jordan is a good way to slide through this week.

Here is BB8 Eric's take on the house. Except for Jordan being a legitimate threat to win, I agree with pretty much everything he says. I'd rank Casey the favorite and Michele #2, but I think they're the only ones with a solid chance of winning this season.

God Ronnie is ******ed, why did he tell Braden he was going to be put up? GJ blowing your load in week 1.

just watched the episode, never ceases to amaze me how eager people are to blow their entire load in week 1 and also go on massive power trips. Casey and Michele seem to be sitting very pretty right now and with their general personalities I don't see them making any massive blunders to blow it for themselves relatively. Kevin should also be in good shape if he can keep the "diva" in him under wraps.

pretty much 180 degree change of heart on lydia tonight. i realize she had to watch her back but she coulda probably thrown out names of people other than the only ones who came it to console her. don't see her making a deep run (then again, people are rarely smart in voting out who they need to vote out)

what do you think are the chances that lydia is dumb enough to vote out braden this week? i mean she made that whole speech about just telling the athletes what they wanted to hear but i honestly feel she'd be dumb enough to vote out braden not realizing what it means.

looks like the offbeats will have the swing votes to determine the outcome, cuz it seems thus far russell, natalie, ronnie, michele vote braden out and jeff, jordan, lydia (if she has a brain) vote chima out, leaving it up to the offbeats to decide.

oh and I don't know if it's just the rush of having a camera in front of you, but the epic dynasty "we're gonna take over everything and mow down all our competition" speeches in reality tv really need to stop, especially on BB which is easily the most pussified of all reality tv shows (at least on survivor people are starving themselves and living in hell and enduring actual physical and grueling things and the whole game is a mind****, so I can excuse such lapses there at least)

Bunch of ******s in this house lol. Even Ronnie blew his load too quickly by pointlessly informing Braden. Great job nerd, do something that offers no advantage and tons of negative consequences. GREAT ****ING IDEA.

Jordan Kevin Michelle in perfect positions right now. I actually love Jeff's spot too. Loved by the house, hated by his own team who can't even nominate him. If he throws every competition then he's golden until the game changes.

In theory it works super well.

Let's say there are, at the moment, two loose affiliations starting to form. You go upstairs to the HOH room and get in good with those guys. You throw out ideas and maybe even recommend that he puts up X and Y. THEN you go downstairs and tell X or Y that they are going to be put up. Both groups think you are cool with them, and once you start feeding one side information that's about to be public knowledge, you can start feeding them bogus info to get them to do what you want.

Of course, in practice it's horrible because people are stupid and nobody can keep their mouths shut.

ronnie is such a geek he just wants to be involved in something.

At least he betrayed the athletes who should be the #1 target unless they win hoh

I agree with AB, it's perfectly fine to do in theory, but in practice it falls to pieces because people don't have good poker faces and don't/can't keep their mouths shut.

No idea why Ronnie would do that. I can't see that being a remotely +ev move for him.

It's called being insecure. Just like all the poker players who feel the need to tap the glass and brag to fish about how much they know.

Ronnie doesn;t stand a chance of winning. People who are socially inept in multiple ways tend not to do well in big brother.

Agree with the general assessment. As many have mentioned Jeff actually may be in a very good spot. It's hard to tell though because when bb decides to break up the teams it will have a huge effect.

How much longer do you think this team thing is going to last? I'm guessing in about 2-4 weeks, BB will dismantle it and go back to individual.

Oh, and I can't stand Russell. I hope he goes next week.

I mean, he's supposed to be smart. I would think he would realize that revealing that might hurt him more than help him in the future.

How long was the couples thing in BB9? Like one week? I don't see this lasting longer then 1-2 weeks.

i think the cliques have a longer shelf life than that because there's still only one person a week getting evicted.

The couples lasted for a long time. Ryan and Allison were the last couple "booted" before the change, which split them and allowed Ryan to stay. That had to be at least three weeks into the game.

Last edited by K.O.S.; 07-15-2009 at 08:44 PM. Reason: yeah, Wikipedia says that was Day 28, so this clique thing will probably last at least 3-4 weeks

My friend needs a pick for a reverse last longer, neither of the two current noms obviously. His opponent picked Ronnie. He picks Jeff, pretty easy choice?

I agree that she's cute, but those tattoos would just be a deal breaker for me.
