Big Brother 11

this will be my first season watching BB, so I am excited. Not really sure of all the gameplay rules, just the basics.

First impressions I like the scientist girl and Jordan obv (plus she's from Charlotte). The video game guy seems a little too enthusiastic and the tae kwon do girl is trying too hard to lie. I'm not sure if the lying is a good strategy, but she seemed to be forcing them into conversations, "I never played any sports ever in high school".

Anyway, hope I enjoy this show.

I know it's early but I don't get an "exciting season" vibe from this cast. I hope that I'm wrong.

First thoughts:

Natalie is ****ed. Just ****ed. Lying about what you do is fine I guess, but lying about your age by 6 years is absolutely nuts, especially when you don't look anywhere near 18.

Kevin is by far my favorite to watch so far. Most of the other gay guys in big brother history have been 100% clueless in terms of winning gameplay, but I actually think he could do well if he can save his commentary for the diary room. Clearly he's very observant, although figuring out that Natalie isn't actually 18 isn't a huge brag.

Ronnie is way too excited to be there and needs to stop blowing his load on the first week and lay low.

Casey will be out early.

Jessie is a toss up imo. Once the cliques get broken up he'll be boned, but while they're together he, Russell, and Jeff are going to be a tough trio to beat at anything physical. Obviously he's drawing dead at winning the whole game.

Russell and Jeff are my early favorites to go deep. Both seem low key and obviously are strong physically.

The only girl with a shot at winning is Michelle. She's going to keep a level head which is 100% necessary to win the game, which is why usually all women are effectively drawing dead. To date, no woman has ever beaten a man in the finals of BB. Women just hate other women which leads to failure at BB.

+1 +1. Natalie lying about her age by 6 years didn't seem too bright, & she seems kinda cocky, which always hurts houseguests. Also, there's a reason people were selected to be in each group, & she says she "didn't really play anything", but "did some Tae Kwon Do"? C'mon now, that's like Ronnie saying he got an A on a test once & that he has no idea why he's on the Brains.

First impressions:

I thought I was gonna like Natalie, but it seems like she's already starting off on the wrong foot, as mentioned above.

Man, Chima brings new definition to the term "ass-ugly" & already seems pretty annoying to boot. On the other side of the spectrum, Michele & Jordan are pretty cute.

I dunno why, but I don't like Casey.

As cute/hot as Jessica was, she really wasn't that interesting to watch, so I guess better Jessie than her. Too bad it wasn't Brian.

How many of you are old enough to have seen season one of both BB and Survivor? Towards the end of BB1, somebody wrote a parody of Sue's famous Survivor speech, making it about the BB season. I remember reading it 9 years ago and have looked for it a bunch of times, but the site was taken down. However, I did further detective work and finally found it:

I have no questions. I just have statements.

Eddie, you're a very openly arrogant, pompous human being, but I admire
your frankness with it. You have worked hard to get to where you're at,
and you started working hard way before you come to the house. But on
the other hand your inability to admit your failures without going into
a racist or sexist or idiotic speech makes you a bit of a loser in life.

Jaime the Beauty Queen, you did get stomped on on national TV by a bunch
of boys that never were on TV before, let alone been in the public eye
or the newspaper even or a runway in their lives. You sucked at this
game. Jaime, you're verytwo-faced and manipulative to get where you're
at in life. That's why you fail all the time.

Big Brother, I'll go on from here. But if I were ever to pass the
producers of this horrid show along in life and they were laying there
dying of thirst, I would not give them a drink of water. I would let the
vultures take them and do whatever they want with them with no ill
regrets.

I plead to the public to think a little bit about the house that we have
watched.

This house is pretty much full of only two things -- bores and boors.

And in the end, with the Big Brother house, we have Eddie the vulgar
hoppy bunny, who knowingly did not give a ****ing ****; and Josh, who
turned into the carrot that ran around looking for any sort of warm
home, trying to run from his own sexuality.

I feel we owe it to the spirits of reality TV that we have learned to
come to know to let it be in the end the way Big Brother intended it to
be... had they not screwed it up... For the bunny to eat the carrot.

I'm glad I don't take life as seriously as the author of that parody of a decent speech.

This is the first time I've checked out these feeds and they're all run of the mill people at this point. I have or have had friends very similar to most of the characters in the house. It's entertaining. If you don't like the scheming and game theory **** going on, which there's a ton of, the shows not for you.

I'm talking from a 24/7 feeds point of view though, editing is obviously going to stick to the extremes. But it's lame to attack the people at random just for being on the show, if you dissect anyone's personality in the way this game does you're gonna find 5 minutes camera time per week of what some todd douchebag out there personally considers a fault, big deal. russell the love muscle talked about a protein shake...again!? that's twice in 1 day, where do they find these meatheads. This show is a detriment to our culture.

Jordan's bubbly, my pick of the girls to go far. These feeds are alright, I'm surprised at how these people really are outside edits. Jessie's a decent dude. Ronnies slowly creeping out the entire house with a mix of social awkwardness and paranoia.

Nerdy scientist chick will prob go deep since shes super harmless.

Gay guy and video game guy, one of them will prob go home fairly early and the other one will be the perennial "we should get him out this week, he's annoying" which means he'll go deep since they will always find someone else to target.

I'm happy Jessie got in instead of Brian, he's way more annoying and fun to watch. I doubt he'll see week 4 though.

Early favorite? Jeff if he can keep his mouth shut. Outside shot of Casey if since he kind of seems like he could go all Evil Dick on everyone and I think that is usually a strong strat.
pretty much 100% agree with all of this. i think the gay guy is going to be the one who goes fairly deep (final 5, maybe final 4) and video game guy will be out in the first few weeks due to creeping people out
