Our safety trainer spent about 2 hours showing us YouTube videos of cities on Mars and the moon. He also let us know he has a bachelor's degree in mental health or something because he feels it's important for us to know the people training us are educated.

Just finished reading the thread. Really enjoyed it and would read again!

Well, I wouldn't literally read it again, but I will be following it from now on.

Is that a safe above the mini-fridge?

I had a driver tell me a story once about being parked in a lot in Memphis and waking up to 10+ prostitutes trying to break open his trailer, with their pimp as the mastermind. I believed about two words of it, but it was a fun story.

From bottom to top: storage cabinet, mini fridge, storage (now with coffee maker!), storage.

The other side is all storage with my tv and playstation.

I don't know about your friends hooker gang but it wouldnt surprise me. I know the cost of stolen cargo every year is in the billions.

Well how bout that? I didn't know lbr was a trucker. I used to drive a straight truck for a couple years hauling haz chemicals and waste oil. Whole different perspective when you can't stop on a dime and gotta watch traffic a mile ahead. Don't think I could ever do the tractor trailer bit. Hard enough to back up my 12 ft trailer!

That's nothing to be ashamed of. Trailers with a longer wheelbase are usually much easier to back than a short 12 ft utility trailer. I spent a lot of years backing 20-30 ft trailers and at the time would put my skillz up against anyone, but my 12 ft lawnmower trailer would still occasionally give me fits.

Haha good stuff. Sadly, there's a lot of people with boats who have no idea how to back them down a boat ramp or into a driveway. Same goes for people pulling camper trailers or even horse trailers. Too many times I've seen these people have the whole road blocked up because they can't get backed in to their driveway or wherever. And the more people honk and yell at them, the more nervous and rushed they get. Pretty funny to watch. Unless you're in a hurry. Then it's just ****ing aggravating.

Make the bottom of your steering wheel go the direction you want the back of the trailer to go - imo.

Lol, one of the questions on our quiz was "if your trailers going left when backing which direction do you turn the wheel to correct it?" Everyone there had around 10 years experience driving and we all had our hands up miming turning the wheel trying to figure it out.

That's a good job you have there, have you ever pulled triples? 6453falcon on here works on UPS docks, which makes him your bitch.

Not allowed to pull triples in North Carolina and I have no desire to evEn with the extra pay. I've done my fair share of working the dock myself while here.

That's cool. If I ever get my dream truck with a mobile home for a sleeper berth I'd want to try expediting for UPS or FedEx.

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to expedite for UPS if you have all your teeth and have finished the 8th grade. My experience is mainly with RC Moore, all their drivers are absolute backwoods folks.

Haha no but I've cleared bridges because I was loaded and sitting lower on my suspension than if I was empty. I'm coming into Moorhead via 94 tomorrow so I'll probably see the damage lol
