ok, I wont talk about stack size ever again

How would you play the following hand:
Should I just fold on flop or my call was the right move?
(I suppose my pre-flop call was right because of implied odds? but I'm not sure about calling on flop because his bet was big)
thanks in advance.

Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets $0.18, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.18, 1 fold

Turn: ($0.61) 4 (2 players)

It's hard for me to respond to your question as I am not comfortable with 50bb play.

wooww, Is it just that big deal?! cmon, that's just racist! lol.
I'm playing nl2 full ring, how's that makes a 6max player who plays higher stacks uncomfortable!!!
just kidding ty anyway.

You know what is really uncomfortable? Playing poker in a muslim country when internet connection is not reliable and It's illegal to gamble and you can not deposit/withdraw via regular methods because of the sanction and twoplustwo and pokerstars are blocked.
(I broke several laws just by login to pokerstars and twoplustwo and using webmoney)
I'm basically risking my life for playing poker @nl2
It's not just uncomfortable, I think it's sad too, lol

lol, I thought it was obvious that I was exaggerating, maybe I'm watching way too much sitcom
Actually I do heard of risk management, my other interests are trading and portfolio managing.
But seriously, I do not have a choice, I'm an engineer but due to the current economy there is no job, and if there is a job it pays less than $200/month(As international sanctions against Iran have tightened, the value of the Iranian currency has plummeted)

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/02/wo...llar.html?_r=0

so playing nl2 is not that bad, beside I was doing ok at nl5 and nl10 two years ago(but I was mostly playing double or nothing back then), but for some reasons I did not play for last two years, and now that I started again, I started again from nl2, I will move up as soon as my play gets better( my bankroll is around $400)

Sorry i didn't mean to sound so snide
its just crazy to hear someone risking a lot for what seems to be peanuts in some counties but you do tend to forget that it can be worth a lot in other parts of the world.

I wish you good luck with the micros(and hope you don't get caught) and also in finding a job in engineering(I myself will be looking for a job in engineering in the coming years when my course finishes).

It's true, life is crazy, funny and a lots of other things but it's not fair, that's for sure!
C'est drôle, la vie!
Here is my graph for nl2(zoom) in last few days.

Have played 5nl zoom or about 20k hands and have did ok.

I know not a big sample, but I have learned a lot about how 5nl is played.

So I think I may be ready for nl10.

So what is the main differences that you will see? I see that at nl5 people are playing really tight preflop. You can 3bet light and raise in CO and BTN very wide to steal blinds. Is it like this at nl10?

thank you

What was your winrate? Why do you think you're ready for 10nl?

It's pretty much the same except for two things:
people are 3betting a little bit wider preflop
people are giving up to postflop aggression more often

Look for good spots to double barrel, sometimes even triple if you know what you're doing.
Look for spots to 3bet the standard regs pre, 4bet the LAGs if you can identify them.
Steal relentlessly using 2.5x raise size.

Looks like he has 55. When he check calls the flop and then donks turn & donk shove river, you should lean towards folding river imo. Thing is though, since he played it so obvious it's possible that if he's good enough, he could do this with air. It's unlikely that the latter is the case when at 25nl imo.

Well I ended up folding riv, maybe not the best idea cuz that would make me fold basically almost every single hand that I hav called the 3bet with.. I folded mainly cuz of his aggro freq tho, didnt think he would pull many bluffs if hes at 38 in 46 hands

Though my sample is pretty **** and ive called shoves on rivs in 3bets pots vs regs w around 4x agg freq n they hav had like 8 high lol so maybe I ****ed up

folding riv makes you exploitable but I don't think anyone will be exploiting you very often here, especially a relative unknown. I'd fold.

Villains are likely just playing absolute hand strength, not ranges. He'd be an idiot if he was trying to bluff u off an ace. Short term win for long term losses. I think it's a good fold

Pretty ******ed way to play to play any value hands, his seems like a dumb reg and usually when dumb regs take dumb lines they are't bluffing very much. Bet bigger otf, call turn take a note villain is a ****** and own him inb3 despots

The more important question is how big is your roll? If you have any less than $200 (and that's probably quite low), don't move up.
