This will probably seem stupid question but does anyone else think there's more variance on FTP?

Iv been set over set twice, had top 2 v set and river boat. This is in about 100-125 hands. Iv played a lot of Zoom and that doesn't seem to happen much at all.

How do you guys play this?

NL50, effective stacks 200bb
BTN opens to $1.50, I 3bet in sb with AQo to $4.50, flop comes Q46dd, I cbet $5.50 and he raises to $14.80

BTN is a reg, we've 3b each other a few times but this is our first flop. Has standard tag stats.

Any merit in 3betting flop?

everyone is folding to 3bets and flop x/rs like it's 2009, and it is faster and the software is more fun.

This has happened quite often to me in zoom albeit not recently.

It always felt like there was more variance on FTP however I always found the players on FTP tended to create more variance through their donkiness - so rungood and runbad tended to be just as severe as each other.

Edit: 3.5 hours later and still waiting for my stars -> ftp transfer to go through

How do they work? Read the details on the store page and still clear as mud to me

ermmm - if i remember correctly say you buy a $100 ticket and buy in full at 100NL. Anything you make over $100 turns straight into cash when you leave the table and the $100 ticket stays in tact. So you just use it like that till you bust it

Last edited by Suzukishosan; 11-06-2012 at 07:22 PM. Reason: or clear it - but that never happens unless you buy in to games lower than the total value

Are you trying to argue for 3betting smaller oop?

What? No, I'm saying if it's not bad if they flat more because they can't have the top of their range as often

Also I've seen/read that ppl actually mini4bet IP for some reason

It does seem ez though its kinda early to tell right now..

i will say though that ive played like quarter million hands at nl10 zoom and after playing nl10 rush, i will say it was pretty ez mode even with NO HUD

Not sure about Stars -> FTP transfer but my FTP -> Stars transfer took like 15 seconds.

$26 Tourney Tickets

Regged into some $26 Matrix 6-max hypers.

If you are 1/2 decent @ hypers - these are probably the fastest/lowest risk to convert tourney tickets -> cash.

Basically, you play 4 tables against the same 5 players. You get points for knocking people out, lasting longer than other players, or winning the table. Top two on each table win a little bit of money, and top two overall win some. They're mostly used by people turning points into cash, because you're almost guaranteed to get at least some money.

occurs to me that taking $600 off stars, into y neteller account then pushing it onto fulltilt, should be the same as just transferring stars to ftp - hence if I transfer I get the deposit bonus. Probably. Anyone can confirm?
