Question: how do you get the most out of 2p2? I have been on here ages and basically just hover around the BQ...

Post hands in the forums. Nearly everyone giving advice away for free is terrible (but there are some good players) so treat everything critically. Also, find a study group.

just read a post somewhere, and wanted to confirm something;

if BB calls > 10%.. Is he calling more or less than 10%?

thanks for clearing that up

Can someone explain me how to use this ICM calculator;

http://www.chillin411.com/icmcalc.php

I dont know what values to input per player

That's a calculator for SNGs where first pays 50%, second 30% and third 20%, although if you're using it for a tournament with a different payout structure you can adjust it up to five paying places.

You then put in the stack sizes for each player. This gives you the ICM EV value of each stack. If you're analysing a particular decision you then need to calculate the ICM EV for each possible outcome. The "Examining a Bubble Hand" link on that page gives you all the guidance you should need, and I suspect the other links there will help too.

How are burn cards treated in calculations? Do we just ignore them completely or do we subtract from the total number of cards left in the deck?

Only subtract them from the number of cards left (the relevant number is the number of unknown cards) if they're accidentally exposed - the same way you'd treat any other exposed card.

Hi all:

If I get pokersnowie, do I still need to get HEM? I am a cash HU player 100BB stacks. I just want snowie to look over my hands.

The bottom line is: doesnt Snowie do a lot of similar stuff as HEM? I just want snowie to look over my hands and tell me my leaks and my EV lines.

thx!

They do completely different things. You do not need HM/PT to use snowie.

sorry: I mis-represented my question: What i mean is: I do know that Snowie does not need HEM to run. But, assuming that I dont' use HUD (I play HU single table cash), I want to use a tool that analyzes my hands, and sorts my hands into categories by position and winning/losing ranges.

I think snowie can do that just as well as HEM (am I right?), and that snowie would even tell me if I wrong moves. that was my question

thx

I have a Snowie license and it can definitely not do this, AFAIK in my testing I have done with this software.

Snowie can do this. It does it in a completely different way/manner than HM2/PT4 and their Leak Buster/Tracker apps do.

HM2/PT4 have 30 day trials and I think Snowie does as well so I would suggest you give them all a try.

Does bankroll management change when playing short stacked, or does it depend entirely on the blinds? For instance, if you use a BR management of 20 buy-ins with a standard buy-in of 100BB, does that mean you could just use 10 buy-ins as bankroll if you buy in for 50BB?

This is assuming your winning rate stays unchanged when playing short.

Bankroll management is based on the amount you buy-in for.

Note that: "assuming your winning rate stays unchanged" is almost never true.

How important in todays game is using a tracker like PK4 in learning and improving your game? Is it really worth it as a beginner?

thanks

I would say it is very worth it! You need to be willing to use it though. I would say get a trial, HEM2 has a 30 trial, and I think PT has a much longer trial'

Try them out, look up videos on how to use them effectively and you will see how much they help you

Get both the trials (one after the other) and find out which you prefer. In general, I'd recommend HM2 for more powerful computers and PT4 for less powerful ones.

Showdown order.
I understand that, it A calls B's bet, B has to show first. What if it is check check. (If B is on the button) who show card first?

Cool I'm trying out the PT4. A fair bit to learn to understand what the hell is going on with all those number and graphs

Dumb question. Does it keep track of stats for players when you've played them in the past? So if you have played 100 hands with a player a few months ago it will give you those stats

I think it should, that is if you have your hand history saving the whole time?
***** Official Dumb Questions Thread **** Quote
06-03-2015 , 08:36 AM
Basically it has a database of hand histories (the text files which poker sites save details of hands to), and it retrieves data from that database. If you've imported the hand histories, it will read from them.

a question about Americas Cardroom ACR.does it allow you to see the showdown mucked cards of the villain. can you go back and look at the hole cards of the villain when you have both gone down to showdown

I know that some sites of the WPN network such as betcoin won't let you see makd showdown hole cards. paragraph

So my question is on aCR can you see those hole cards. Thank you I am trying to find a USA site where I could get that sort of information. I know I could do it on bovada but I'm just wondering if there's more.

I play on betcoin. And it is annoying not to get that MUC card information

None of the sites that use the WPN network/software allow you to see the hole cards unless they show or are all-in. I believe it is the only site like this anymore and they claim they are going to change it but it likely won't happen this year.
