Given the oddities of snapshot type cameras, and weird drunken faces people sometimes make, the one on the right is about a 6.5......so, well past the threshold IMO

Meh, was impressed with first one, but second one exposed the cut and paste technique used, so I deducted a few points for originality. I mean, for all we know somebody wrote that for CMAR and he just cuts and pastes like a clerk or civil servant.

I'm not sure what you mean by an absolute score and an absolute threshold. Everyone knows cuteness is very situational - mostly due to the effect of beer goggles (both you and her), availability of alternatives (for both you and her), and how close to the end of the evening it is getting.

It's such a beginner's error to go with absolute strength without considering effective stack, relative strength, and risk of ruin.

This is why I stay in the shallow end, here in BQ. I am such a beginner, I wouldn't even know half the terms young women use these days. Good thing I don't have to play the stupid "mating game".....I would get crushed no doubt.
