^^^ that is sick. Pls PM me the name of the villian; I want to play at his table.

Poker gods being slightly kinder with me the last few days, but still basically trading flat. Finding it a bit tough to string together some winning sessions.

One thing I have been working on: Regardless of whether I was the pre-flop raiser, betting the flop in position is almost guaranteed to give you a free card (if you want) on the turn. 99 times out of 100, even if I donk-bet the flop it gets checked around to me on the turn.

Up until now I don't think I had taken full advantage of this general 'check to the raiser' trend that seems to be so common at the micros.

17/15 is pretty tight. you should be able to c-bet way more often than you are doing cause you're only seeing flops with quality hands.

I like it really....it polarises villain's hand. If you have the 9 or worse it's going to be tough to call, only way it gets called is J and maybe T if someone has 2 pair/sets/TPTK/flopped flush they have to fold river. He just got unlucky that he went up against the nuts. Any other river any non /J river and he wins.

Still no need to shove into that small pot. A pot sized bet would do it.

Yeah I should open a lot more from btn/co and I would be probably more 20/18, although I think my opening ranges are okay and I avoid a lot of trouble spots that most players have when they open weaker hands.

Agree about the hand strength/cbet flops. I think I should cbetting close to every flop rather than half of them. Will test it out tonight and see how it goes, im losing way too many smaller pots that its killing my win rate.

After about 400 hands last night, my biggest pots were:

+55BB
+50BB
+40BB
+36BB
-27BB
+26BB
+26BB
+15BB
-15BB

Overall in pots that are 10BB or more I am up 206BB, however my overall for this actual session was +75BB. Im losing 130BB in small pots, even though this was just from one session it must be a massive leak.

Maybe Im over thinking things, what do you reckon?

Had an okay session tonight. Started off kinda slow, then I lost almost a buyin due to a mix of bad luck and bad play.

Later on I started catching cards and hitting flops.

My disgusting heater continues. Another short session, another 150bb. Was up money at 5 of my 6 tables (4.5bb away from the sweep on my 6th table... sigh!)

Got a little tilted when I accidentally folded 88 otb which would have flopped top set, but shook it off when the two people in the pot checked down air. First time I've ever made a misclick, will have to be careful about that. Glad it didn't cost me a stack or two there.

Graph is NL10. Yeah that's 11 BIs in <5k hands.

I am doing my best to jinx this but the rungood doesn't stop. Will the kid ever lose again?

For one session it'd be nice to not start off by dropping a few buy-ins I'm probably being a bit too aggressive in some spots like playing 2 pair on flop and some draws and a bit of running bad in some spots didn't help. I managed to get back to even then some guy opened from CO and I 3bet from BTN with AKKQss, flop came 553ss and he check-raised me all in and of course he had 5477ds and I was going for a K which I missed. I did run better in other spots and after 1400 hands finished up just under a buy-in. It's not a killer win rate but the good news is I haven't been getting completely crushed like last time.

These hands piss me off....I'd checked the "sit out next bb" button, then I decided to play this hand and got it in with 57% equity. Villain insta-left straight after as I guess he was planning on leaving too or he's hit and running scum.

A hand I might have overplayed, i'm not sure. It's just a higher variance play to get it in. It's a flip slightly in my favour. Villain said something like "lol thanks" as if i'd played it like a complete fish and then continued to try mock my hands at other tables even though i'd said nothing to him. He made my slowroll list.

Just tried to move from two tables to four. I'm positively surprised, I don't get as much bored as I used to, thus making less marginal calls etc.

At 6 max four tables feels like enough tbh, it reminds me a little bit of rush poker. Not that action packed ofc, but not far from it.
One hour's play and I've plowed through almost 1k hands, that's not bad for my standard. And I was up $11 when I quit, which is nice

Wow did I just have an interesting session! I decided to play from a different place. I started off and I was running so bad. I started off the session down 3 buy-ins again and had to grind it all back. Then I started to run a bit better and a little more aggressively and then fully engaged god mode to win a $40 pot. I finished up about 3 buy-ins after 1k hands.

This is how I like to start off my sessions.....in with 55% equity 3way in a 300bb pot. Would have been nice to hold

Playing AAxx slow and getting paid off by a set. Definitely ran hot here.

Biggest pot i've won in a while. I hated seeing someone had a set. I pretty much put SB on AAxx/KKxx and MP on something like a flopped pair hoping to make 2 pair. I wasn't happy to see they'd flopped a set but I still had 23% equity and managed to run good for once when it mattered.

Blocker bluff, I was deliberating it on the river once villain called my turn raise. But I was on a bit of a roll, I didn't want to shove but I thought shoving and betting $4 would have the same effect but save me a bit of money long run. I even turned off the auto-muck just to show villain that i'd pwned him I think it wasn't a good decision long run.

If vil is a loose drooler you are getting plenty of value from ******ed Ax hands (or even lower where they are "keeping you honest") that you beat. I like trying to picture them with some ******ed grin on their face ("I have top pear!!!1!") as they hit call for their stack with some stupid A6o type hand thinking they have the mortal nuts, usually followed by some insult about how you sucked out on them not taking into account they were behind all hand....

(Against a strong player I know I am behind almost always when they call the turn)

Well,

Im in the middle of losing my mind. Down somewhere between 9-10 BIs, not really sure anymore. Im gonna keep playing until iv got half of that back, probably shouldn't but im not tilted just more annoyed at the way things have been going, id be more tilted if I was playing terrible.

Iv lost every single all in flip, which amounts to just over 500BBs. Iv been stacked 3 times, where Iv floped top top in 3bet pots to be beaten by sets.

Dont think iv ever ran this badly, normally can seperate emotion but after some guy open shoved with J2, and I called with AQ, and hit top pair only for him to runner runner flush, I punched my desk pretty hard.

Was going to, then decided against it (I'm too aggro with my BR for PLO I think and will just go busto). I'm going to BR build with NLHE and start PLO as a second game once I hit NL50.

6-max.

Edit: It was a nice heater, though my EV adjusted is still a sweet (approx) 10ptbb/100.

Daaaang.

Checked my stats and I'm 7.75ptbb/100 EV-adjusted on my streak, but a lot of that is non-EV-measurable luck. For example I've gotten paid off for stacks four times this week with AA/KK, usually that happens maybe one in ten times I have it or less. I'd be surprised if my real winrate is above 4ptbb/100, but I guess I'll just have to play a few tens of thousands more hands to find that out
