I don't get why people don't like playing nits

They are the easiest people to play against as they may as well be playing their cards face up. At least the droolers can show up with anything and be harder to read, nits will only get past the flop with a minimum of TPTK (if they even get to the flop).

I stack off too easily in Cash (and I just can't find the fold button). I agree 10NL sucks, I think I'm only slightly loosing @ 25NL (small sample size).

I should stick to SnG's/MTT's, but I have the inkling to play cash again.

I'll probably play 6-max, since FR I just become a robot like Exo.

Orrr I can mass grind the 180s and make $

10nl is nits?

10nl has gotten more 3bet heavy the last few weeks imo

more regs, they suck n make dumb mistakes which make games profitable.. about the same amount of fish in 10nl n 25nl... the diff in how you beat it boils down to style of play, 10nll regs still call too much 3bets in spots they shouldnt so polarizing & opening wider than normal in certain spots for steals etc probably not worth it..

I really need to work on table selection - at my 10NL tables I swear there are at least 3 or 5 8/6 or 10/8 uber-nits. Almost impossible to get any big pots when you make a hand, and when you do and they're in the pot you have to figure they also have a monster, 'cause they ain't playing anything but.

Sloooooow money. But I guess slow and steady wins the race.

**** my life, seriously pissed right now.. why didn't i just ****ing quit? Almost 2 weeks work gone down the drain.. roll is like 130 after $50 stellar cleared.. back to 5 or 10NL I go.

Lost 15 buy-ins at 25nl.. gg. couldn't win a ****ing all in it was so sick..

Ran KK into AA at-least 5 times (not vs nits), didn't have my AA into KK or QQ at all.

This **** was standard

I know I have no FE here but this guy was a drooler reg but this was my third time 3betting him in 2 orbits - had 4bet me once already and I folded

That last hand intrigues me, I have seen the occasional massive overbet shove pre-flop similar to that hand and always assumed it was some drooler trying to get paid off with AA. Interesting.

Damn, that's sick. I almost would have to consider a fold since it would seem to suggest at least a set (maybe a flush draw?)...but I don't know if I could have found a fold.

Good idea, will do that actually.

Going to change a few things about, I actually need to take more notes on players and its too hard to know certain information just from a HUD. I make notes on how they play certain strong hands and bluffs, but I dont usually note if they float overcards, PPs etc so will start doing that more.

Need to stop 3betting hands like AJ/KQ if they are just standard players and not super lose openers because I was value towning myself way too often, think I just wanted to play them hands where as before I would fold them.

Haven't played since my blow up, might play a tiny bit soon, but will take it light for a few more days.

Derrp, I feel your pain!

I wouldn't call 6 tables mass-MTing. Then again, I can tile 6 on my monitor, I guess it is if you can't.

Playing 6 tables is the best thing I've ever done for my confidence. I've only "Won or lost 50BB" in 32 out of 12,000 hands this month. Basically I am playing for stacks once every 400 hands. When I was two-tabling (or 4 even), opportunities to go up a BI were so few and far between. Losing two shoves in a row was a soul-crushing hole because I knew I had to wait a long time for the chance to get that back, and be lucky on top of that. Now if I get stuck a BI or two it's not a big deal, I know I'll get it back soon enough.

Another two sessions... BLARRRRRRRRRRGH

First one I was up 6 BI at around 2k hands then over the next 3k hands I lost those 6 BI and another 4.. disgusting.

Then another break even session 1.2k hands.

Once again running KK into LAGs with 15% 3bets AA like 5x today (haven't even 2 outered anyone)

Best hand was a fish playing 92/40 or something was open jamming any pair any draw OTF, a reg had won 400bb off him, I finally get AQ and flops QJ3tt, i cbet he ships and obv has the J3o!

Gah, down 3 BI today. Treating it as education expense (not blaming variance, just some poor decisions, unlike NL10 they tend to have the goods if they are still around by the river), NL25 appears quite beatable once you get your stuff down, pre-flop is about the same, the post flop play is where it gets a bit harder than NL10. I have found I can't just mash the bet button and expect to take down all the pots which is kind of a shame really. Vils start floating but still not much bluffing / semi-bluffing. I probably need to tighten up until I get the hang of it

Wanted to do 1k hands today but had to stop at 500 since I was feeling tilted after two raggedy-ass river two pair suckouts in 80-100bb pots. Finished up 20bb but probably should have won at least a BI. oh well.

fml! These swings are going to drive me crazy. I took a break for a few days, came back and was up about 70bb, then all hell broke loose and I was down 4 buy-ins on the session. I must remember to just give up with blocker bluffs, they don't work. Monotone flop, villain bets, I raise. Villain calls, turn is another of the suit villain check calls (so I should obv give up on river) river's a blank and villain checks, I figure only way I win is by betting and also if villain has set I can get a fold, but of course I got snapped.

I managed to get it together and after 1700 hands finished up just under a buy-in. It'd just be nice to start off crushing and not have these swings for once in a session. I'm still fairly happy with how i'm playing and i'm not getting totally crushed like old days so that's the good side of the coin.

I got so pwned here I felt that if villain had nut flush he'd definitely be leading river. I know I would. On that basis I figured maybe villain was going for a blocker bluff or something.

I contemplated the 4bet but my position sucked and my AAxx wasn't great. As far as I saw, flop didn't really hit a 3betting hand and villain's bet sizing was weak. So I called and decided that if I hit 2 pair an ace or picked up a draw I probably had to shove it. So I decided to donk turn and got it in. Probably could have done it pre but I was trying to avoid 4betting OOP and just getting called and out-played post flop.

Crappy session tonight. The bad luck just doesn't seem to end. Doomswitch activated!

I'm thinking maybe I'll put the cash games on hold for a while, and try some good old SNGs. Played two after I left the cash tables. In one of them I doubled up on the first hand with AA vs AQ, and the other I got knocked out in like 6th or 7th place with 88 vs QQ. The guy even took a while before he called, I was shortstacked and everything.

Finished second in one of them. Was actually kinda fun to play some sng again. Always good with some change I guess.

Oh btw, does anyone have a decent HEM HUD for full ring? I could use HUDs for both sng and cash.

Oh, another thing that tilted me this morning but I forgot to mention was I kept getting... is there a word for it? Donkey squeezed?

I'd open from EP with something near the bottom of my EP opening range to 4bb. Then some 30/5 doofus in MP would call my raise, maybe someone else might come along too. Then a solid player on the button would repop it to 18-22bb who I know is 3betting a bit wide but I can't play back because given effective stacks I can only shove or fold. Then doofus would do something dumb like fold (dumb as in you know you're getting 3bet if you call, what did you expect), call/fold flop, or call off his stack with middle pair

It's a squeeze pretty much but the guy limping after me has absolutely no business being in the hand other than to screw me up which is pretty annoying! Piss away your own money if you want but don't make me lose mine!

This happened with a bunch of different players too (if it was just one table I'd tighten up my EP open, ez fix) so it was pretty aggravating!
Build a Bankroll: The Greenback Boogie... Quote

Why can't you shove? The other players probably don't have much of a hand as they just called your open and now face a raise and a shove so your hand's going to look strong. The only risk you have is BTN snapping you off with aces/kings but you need to be sure about his 3bet range on the button. If you're sure BTN's just squeezing then why not shove?

h3 is the worst thing i've ever seen

should probably update my own progess

roll rebuild is going well, wish i had more spare time to put in volume

redline's getting better too, showing a slight profit over the last 15k in non-SD pots

think i will move up to 50nl at 50k hands cause that seems appropriate

Sick graph and stats, would love to watch you play as you seem to have the most experience in this thread. Pretty laggish stats so you obv play postflop very well.

fml, the most tilting session with AAxx. I'm playing well, not running like complete **** for once and i'm up about a buy-in. Then it all went to **** with my AAxx hands. I think I must have lost about 3 buy-ins with them and all of it pretty standard. I managed to get even, then to profit and I was about to quit when I get AAxx again. No doubt I drop a buy-in and finish the session even. Complete ****

This was pretty funny, I managed to get villain to bluff river.

The start of my AAxx nightmare. It's a crap AAxx but i've got position, so I figured i'd be getting it in a bit thin on flop but 5588ds when i've 4bet that size?!?

thanks. i think there are a lot of guys out there who play the same stakes as me who are fundamentally/technically better players, but they prob table select less than i do and tilt a lot more. like i see these 22/20 type guys who play really good 95% of the time but the other 5% they are 5bet jamming 33 vs me for no reason and they are mostly sat at tables with 5 other regs just dickmeasuring with each other in 3bet pots. it's no wonder they don't make any money.

i might do a vid though if people would be willing to watch, would prob be more helpful for me than anyone else
