Yes. Do not email stars support -- they will tell you that your computer has a corrupted harddrive, memory, or spyware -- and not answer you when you prove otherwise.

This happened to me and I had to quit my session earlier.

Regarding the table layout menu:

We dont need those little checkmarks. When I select a layout just make it snap to that one straight away, regardless of which one I selected before.

Sometimes I move tables out of my stack and then I want go back to the layout to tidy everything up. The way it is right now, I have to unselect my current layout and then select it again to get my tables to go back to where I want them.

I have already say that since a while too.
Temporarly, as a trick you can create two identical layout and click the one which is not selected when you want to refresh.

i live on a sailboat in the Virgin Islands. I suppose the technical reason for no phone line is a combination of chafe & risk of getting it caught in the prop.

Thanks for the email & just to clarify my problem has nothing to do w/ auto rebuy. a couple other people have posted in this thread that they are having similar problems not using an aircard.

What was todays update all about?

The way I fixed this was to have two identical layouts ("24 tables A" "24 tables B") when I want to straighten up my tables, I just select whichever one is not checked.

The missing "I'm back" has happened to me 2 or 3 times now. I'm connected by a hardline through a router

ez to hit sit out when I see the 20bb guy/regular sit. 100% failure to hit it when I don't see the guy sit.

90% of the time I don't see somebody sit b/c I'm grinding other tables which are taking my attention.

Is the issue of the chat font something that will be addressed soon? Because this is what I am seeing and it can't be a Vista problem with the info window so much clearer.

kinda wierd that the update a couple of days ago you could only observe 6 tables while being signed into your account. I tried again and after the update tonight i can observe 20 tables while signed into my account. While not being signed in i can observe 5 tables.

RE: the recent Pokerstars software update(s)...

I'm quite upset to see that even if I have all dealer messages set to be displayed, only the summary of the hand shows up in the chat window. This is annoying to me because I often make my turn and river decisions based on the preflop action, and I often need to scroll up in the chat window to review the betting for the hand before making my decision. With this latest update, I can no longer do that. I don't even multi-table too much, and I still rely on this feature, but on occassion when I do multi-table, I have a big need that feature, and now sadly it is gone :-(

I understand the PS update was made to thwart datamining. Fine, but please don't remove useful features that your regular players rely upon in the process. It seems to me that the whole issue of datamining has been completely blown out of proportion anyway. I could be way off here, but I truly believe the information gained from it is of limited usefulness against any competent opponents who will vary their play based on tables conditions anyway. Do people really think that if they had tons of hands on the top players they could beat them? If so, I think you are being extremely naive, because these players will adapt to you much better than you can to them, even given the extra info you may have.

The incompetent opponents can be typically be beat without much history at all, usually after watching them for a little while, though this is somewhat game-dependent I believe the effort to stop dataminers is starting to negatively affect the usability of the Pokerstars client software and this is a very bad trend IMHO.

Pokerstars, please consider bringing back the hand details in the chat window. Seeing them in the hand history is too late for my needs of evaluating the action and making decisions at the table.

This restriction on Dealer Chat = Everything is only in place if you are observing a table and not playing. If you are sat in, it doesn't apply.

If you are not seeing the dealer chat even when you're participating in a hand, please make sure you have the latest version of the PokerStars software (2.844). I just tested with this version and could see all the dealer messages with no problems.

The new table theme is great. I want to use it so bad, but you guys HAVE to redesign it so that the players action does NOT cover up their stack. Their stack should be visible all of the time, imo. Either flash their action over their avatar or their name, but not over their stack.
