I play NL FR.

Hope you can fix this bug.
I'm pretty sure this is a result of your connection being interrupted momentarily and there is nothing Stars can do but wait to start hands until a player has had opportunity to rebuy. On fast tables especially they don't want to do this, and in general it probably isn't a good idea from their perspective to slow down the games in general.

My connection is excellent. Other players complained this morning aswell in this thread:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/96...-200nl-249188/

This problem is not completely new. It have been some problems since PS updated the re-buy system but yesterday it happen more often than before I think and it was at fast tables only.

Alex Scott or Scottyy: Where (in which thread) do I suggest non-software related improvements for PokerStars?

It depends on what kind of improvement it is.

If it's related to the VIP program, those requests usually go in the 'Supernova Elite Chase' thread.

If it's related to tournaments, usually just make your own thread in the MTT community forum.

Anything else usually has its' own thread made in the zoo.

And as always, make sure you email your suggestion to PokerStars. They listen.

Alex,
can PokerStars please stop updating with small cosmetic stuff every week or whatever? It happens way too often. I'm sure there is some dude in marketing that swears this is the best idea everz, but almost all of them are pointless. The average player doesn't play with this stuff at all.

I think they've said before that some of their update stuff has security-related features that we don't necessarily see.

But besides that, why do you have your shortcut going to the Stars update instead of just Stars.exe? C'mon man, get with the times!

I notice that there have been several updates in the last few days. I know Stars works very hard on improving it's software, and fwiw, I think it is the best in the business. The tournament lobby could be hard to navigate for beginners, but that's my only complaint about that.

However, I would like to see some hotkeys for fold, call, raise (possibly 3 different keys for raise 3xbb, 3.5xbb, and 4xbb?). I know there are scripts with these, but if they built them into the software, that would be awesome. Please consider this.

They are well aware that other sites turn cards face-up in cash game AIs and that a lot of people would like Stars to have that feature. I guess it can't hurt when someone posts that they want it for the 19th million time, but... it's not gonna help.

i play via an aircard & often get momentarily disconnected, but not long enough to cause any problem.

after the update if i get momentarily disconnected i am no longer playing at any or most of my tables (1 time reconnected, not playing @ any, 1 time playing @ 1 of 24) . wtf?

this NEVER happened before, ever. 2 times tonight!

this has only happened twice, but that was 100% of the time since the update & it tilts the hell out of you when you are 24 tabling & they already threw your doomswitch last week!

edit to add: before if i disconnected for to long, when i reconnected i was sitting out at the table(s). Tonight when i reconnected it was like i was never @ the table (even though i am sure that 1 of the times wasn't long enough for me to have even been sat out).

Alex,

anything on this?

I played again today & I am having ALOT of problems whereas before i never had any problems. The problems today were slightly different which leads me to hope that you are working on it.

Admittedly my connection the last couple of days has been worse than usual, but i have been playing on stars via an aircard for a full year w/o any of these problems. the disconnects have always happened, just not these new errors.

The other day the problem was it would show me still seated but there was no "I'm back button" or any other way to get back in the game ( on multiple tables, even though i was reconnected & playing @ part of my tables). then when i went to close pokerstars i still had 24 tables open, it looked like i was playing @ 24, i was playing @ 1 but the software said i was only playing @ 1 table & asked if i wanted to leave. this happened when i was clearly still seated @ all the tables & could see the action going on.

sorry about the previous paragraph, but i don't know how to make it more clear.

today if i got momentarily disconnected, when i reconnected the table was still there 100% of the time, but about 40% of the time i wasn't even seated anymore (disconnects of a few seconds at most - no where near the 3 orbits it would normally take to be picked up from the game).

additionally other problems today were:

reconnected, seated @ table w/ the "I'm back" button. when you click on the "i'm back" a box pops up saying "no sit" this turns into an endless loop of me closing that box, clicking "i'm back" , "no sit", throw animal crackers across the salon & repeat.

what does "no sit" even mean? i could understand if it said "**** off" or "your connection sucks, go play @ UB", but "no sit"?

additionally today when i was playing@ 24 tables ( not observing any others- as if i has the time) i got an error box popping up saying i couldn't observe any more tables.

Please get this worked out. I have played on stars w/o any of these problems before, but this makes it almost unplayable.

thanks

if i can provide any more info, feel free to pm me or throw a giant "no sit" box up while i am playing, or just give me back my old stars. thx

Sometimes when I open the cashier window I get a popup that says "this option is not applicable to your account." Anyone else getting this?

I can't deal with this here on the forum. Please save your PokerStars log files to a ZIP file (Help > Log Files > Save Log Files as ZIP...), attach that file to an email, and send it to support@pokerstars.com along with your description of the problem. Ask to have your email passed to the Technical department straight away. They should be able to help you, or report this as a bug if necessary.

Updates are scheduled once a month. Along with cosmetic changes we also introduce major new features, bug fixes, new payment methods, new security features, and so on.

There may still be some issues with the auto-rebuy feature, which is still technically in public beta testing. Most problems we've seen so far are because players experience brief disconnects while playing. The disconnect can mean that the auto-rebuy request never reaches the server.

If an Aircard is what I think it is (wireless network card of some kind) it will exaggerate this problem, especially if you play a lot of tables or use your internet connection for other things (P2P, online radio, Youtube etc) while playing. Wireless connections are highly prone to brief outages and the average disconnect rate on a wireless connection is over ten times higher than an equivalent wired connection. Playing Fast Tables will also not help because there is less time between the end of one hand and the start of the next, during which time the auto-rebuy has to take place (if you participated in the hand).

Try playing on a wired connection if you can, and see if that helps. If you continue to have problems, please follow the steps I described above to send your log files to support, but please also include a screenshot of your auto-rebuy settings.

1. I am sure it is not hard.

2. It is a really bad idea.

3. It is very easy to see the other persons cards after the fact in an AI situation (as if it matters). It is educational for those too stupid or lazy to look, when it does matter. Why give free info?

4. We should just petition stars to provide free books, education & coaching for all of the fish to go along w/ the incremental betting keys & showing cards face up.

Thanks for the answer, Alex.

I play on adsl-broadband; not wireless and no other program runs when I play besides the script from StarsAssistant which help me click the timebank - which is the reason I use it.

Due to my shortstacking, I will notice this problem more than fullstackers because of my frequent all in bets. Before the update of the auto rebuy, I used the old one which always rebought for 20BB (you could not choose to rebuy for any other amount) and I don't think I ever had any problem with it; it worked also at the fast tables.

I play up to 24 tables I don't have any time to look for log files and so on. I hope the situation will be better after the beta-period.

an aircard is essentially a cellular phone connection.

playing on a wired connection would be cool. do you think stars could offer a 5 mile cable in the fpp store?

seriously, log file sent att: Alex Scott & technical dept. w/ reference to this thread. thanks

If you save up enough FPP and become SuperNova, you can use the concierge service to buy a house that is five miles closer to the intertubes. :-)

some type of noise/notification when somebody sits with down at my HU table would AWESOME. I always end up posting against some 20bb stack I don't want to play.

Turn off auto-post until someone sits?

Jesus, not that hard.

OPTIONAL HOTKEYS FOR FOLD, CALL, RAISE BUILT INTO THE SOFTWARE that can be toggled on and off at the players discretion. Ideal and necessary for intense multi-tabling IMO.

What do you think Alex, is this a possibility?
