False sense of a do-gooder.
Who has ever advocated to buy uneducated and get in over your head?

That can be your personal choice. It used to be mine until i had a change of mind. Every time an intelligent voice like yours is quiet, you lose a little ground to the "scammers".
It's the same with people saying "you can live as you like, i am tolerant blabla". The fact is, nobody lives like that, not even die-hard libertarians.
Stand up for what you believe. If you believe nothing, others will fill that void.
Some people have to lose their money to learn their lesson, but with others you can be a (small) part of their enlightenment.
You likely overestimate your direct influence. Nobody will ever say "omg, but this guy on the forums told me to buy xxx and now i am broke".
Even if, would you prefer they have a +EV shot listening to you or guaranteed lose their money listening to a scam?
