I've been catching up on the thread for the last week, not really sure why I haven't been on, I guess I just forgot! My thoughts and opinions on the week.

It's an interesting point on lack of stats etc. and how do you improve your game. I have to say I think Unibet have it right with no huds etc. I was talking to a pro in Vegas who said all of his decisions were made on the info in front of him, surely poker wasn't designed to be like that? For me it has to be fun and entertainment, I'm sure none of us just want to be bait for the bigger boys. When I hit a downswing (not uncommon in PLO, in particular) I went away, had a break and read everything I could find on the game and since then things have been better, I'm still learning and I have to say Unibet is a good place to learn and improve.

I always was an MTT guy, but I really dislike pretty much everything about the MTT's on here so I'll wait to see what the re-design looks like. For a site that is very good on rake I think you rake too much on MTT's (I know you say that people don't care too much about MTT rake, but the people that regularly play MTT's do). You can have themed nights, deepstack Mondays, Turbo Tuesdays, re-buy Thursdays, High roller days once a month (to coincide with paydays) there is so much that can be done: timed tourneys, bounty hunters, head hunters, Europe wide, country specific, 6 seater, 9 seater etc.

Andrew, the chance to cancel one challenge is a good thing and thank you for that, but as I play high volume low stakes, I'm back to a challenge again that I've already cancelled earlier in the month and now I'm stuck again with it. Can you make it so the challenge does not repeat for the month if you have already cancelled it?

Are you any closer to sorting table-prioritisation out as it's a pain in the ass?

If poker takes off in a real way on here and you can't do this thread then I think you would be better giving it a junior member of the poker team rather than support as unless they have improved recently then I have little confidence in them.

The March mission rewards are the worst I can remember, is this because of the prize drop?

Just signed up and started playing. I like it, and the software seems fast and robust.

However, I've always hated 3D rooms: it's harder to follow the action because table objects are too close together. Sometimes a bet amount is overlayed on top of the dealer button, which is tricky when multi-tabling.

Can we have the option for 2D rooms please?

Last major challenge in NL was something like flop first and last card same rank. dont remember exactly. Anyways, i got some 14k points only for that and I did not play anything under NL400. is that possible or is it a bug?

The hyperlink for the prize drop promotion definitely doesn't do anything for me on the latest version of the Mac client, no new window opens in the browser.

4 tables win prizes today, so 4/4 means all prizes have been won today, should reset after midnight.

As part of the new challenges, one is asked to create a new identity. I would not have a problem with that if my oldest one wasn't connected to a limited time avatar from the world cup. Since I highly doubt that this avatar will be available still when creating a new character then, is there any other way around this misery?

@39 suited ; from experience if you're alias is deleted, when you recreate it, it takes the original avatar no matter what new avatar you selected.

Andrew, one other thing problem I'm having is resizing the tables - the software doesn't let you size them small enough to fit them two up on the screen (using what's probably a pretty normal 17.3" laptop at 1600 x 900).

Earlier this morning i tried playing a €10 mtt and the tournament table wouldn't load. I tried reopening the client about 15 times, both on my pc and laptop but the client just switched between either freezing or telling me i have no internet connection (internet was working fine)

I would like a refund for the tourney i couldn't play

I'm kind of interested in the idea of allowing players to export, say, 5 hands per day into a format that's friendly with facebook or whatever. That way people can analyse problem hands etc more easily without harming us.

I think that more broadly, people don't really know what rake is. There're benefits for us of reducing rake - people churn slower - but there's obviously a cost too. It's not the kind of thing we'd advertise we do though because we don't want to attract players who care purely about rake. So this is something we have to be very careful with.

I don't like having a particularly different schedule each day because I think people come back to play the same tournaments every day. I think that to build up the "named" tournaments we have at the moment, we need to keep them there for a long time.

There's definitely a lot that we can do with different formats though. Cash games are always likely to be our priority because that's where we make most of our money, but that doesn't mean there aren't time-efficient improvements we can develop elsewhere.

I don't think so, so let me reiterate the offer for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. There's a bug where sometimes table priority stops working after a while. We can't reproduce it. So the first person who can send me clear instructions on how I can reliably reproduce the bug on my work machine will win €50 in tickets. Hell, let's say €100 now.

I agree that it should be someone from the poker team because we're specialists in this product. Support are generalists which means they won't know all of the answers on our smaller products. We have second and third line support and they'll be much better equipped to handle them though. And if poker continues to grow then it'll become a bigger part of the company and support will grow more familiar with the problems.

This month we've made a very easy mission, which means the rewards are lower.

Very occasionally the tourney lobby doesn't update correctly. Hopefully this'll be fixed with the lobby redesign we have coming in a couple of months.

This is a design decision and it'd be very hard to build it with an alternative table style. The aim is to make the client look like it was built in 2014 (which of course it was) rather than 2004 (or 2001 for Party/PS/etc).

I think it's something you will get used to though - I now much prefer it to FTP or PS, the sites where I put in my most volume as a player.

This was another design decision, and it wasn't a very good one. It's another one that's very hard to fix - I'm afraid there'll be overlap. The problem is that the tables are 640x480 at minimum size. On the plus side, table priority is able to overlap tables correctly by itself.

Are you sure that's your alias? The account that's used it doesn't have tickets similar to the ones you discuss.

What happened exactly?

From 2305 to 2312 last night we had some small problems that affected a few people, but they weren't widespread.

This isn't something you're meant to do, it's counting how often the prize has already been won today. So there were 4 prizes to be awarded that day, and all 4 had been awarded.

Below that is a line saying which stakes are eligible, and below that is the prize.

I believe this is now fixed - it works for me anyway.

If you create a new alias but are already at the cap, the one used the longest ago will be removed. So creation date doesn't matter, usage date matters.

Depends what you mean by highstakes - our biggest game is NL400. It doesn't run at 5am etc, but does run throughout most the day.

I'm not sure what happened here, but we don't have any other reports or notifications that anything was wrong on our side. Can you send refund requests to support though please? They're better able to handle it than I am.

It's because on average this Challenge only takes 1,275 hands to complete. It's the shortest NL Major (the average for all NL Major Challenges is 2,501 hands).

Daily Feb rake was down 0.8% month on month. This is no real surprise because whenever we have a Unibet Open most of our big rakers can't play online.

The purpose of the rake race was to preserve players who came to play milestones, so rake doesn't matter a lot. It's important to note that being down 0.8% doesn't mean that the rake race was worth 0.8% of revenue - that isn't how promo analysis works. Lots of other things were happening over the month too. Promo analysis is one of the things I don't want to post in public though because it's much easier for our competitors to copy things that worked than it is for them to copy our software or philosophy.
