It might be related to rake free tournaments because Sunday falls on the 1st. Did the leaderboards still run when tourneys were rake free last time?

Sorry if this thread is the wrong place to ask this question, but wanted answers from people who actually play on the site. I'm a Stars grinder currently, generally playing 10-15 tables of 100nl fr and thinking of switching over. Just had a quick look and it seems that there are only a handful of 100nl fr, and probably about 20 100nl 6m games going. Is this standard? If you want to multitable fr, are there ever more than 2-3 tables running at any one stake, or do you have to play 6m to play more than say 8 tables?

Support are wrong, I definitely got top 10 points last week, but they stopped adding my points after the update on the tuesday. They told me in email I finished 26th but that is the place I finished because they stopped adding my points.

They paid out the people who officially finished top 10, so i don't know if they will pay out the people who would have been top 10 if it was working properly. Going to be the same this week, nothing to do with rake free tournaments.

fwiw one can still mod most aspects of the modern layout. The only problem involves some of the elements around the chat box because they're new.

Gemstone is only for if Poker Strategy is your affiliate right? Or is it open to everyone?

Today is a milestone for Party.

Their number of players has now officially dropped to below what they were prior to Black Friday and their resultant 45% increase in traffic from FTP refugees. Impressive Party, impressive. No other network has managed this feat, not even Bodog. The first bump in that graph is after the closure of FTP. The mid point of the graph is when Party swapped to weighted contributed. Party, my hat's off to you.

I just hope they get their act together. The industry is suffering so badly right now when there basically is no real competitor to Stars. Hiring skilled programmers would be a huge first step. I am trying my hardest to not be bigoted (and probably failing) but it is so blatantly obvious every time a company outsources their software to the cheapest bidder in India, and you can bet the house that's what Party is doing. Would you let some guy of questionable qualifications run your company just because he only asks for 1/20th of what everybody else is asking? Obviously not. Why in the world would you do the same when it comes to the software that IS your company, your business.

You get what you pay for.

And just like on every other site that has done it thus far, changing to weighted contributed accomplished little besides providing a short term revenue boost followed by steadily killing off the games. Party should learn from Stars' reaction. I will state here that, barring a bid to go public, within 6 months Stars will turn away from weighted contributed or do something to inject money back into the poker economy such as lower rake, increase the VPP multiplier, etc. You can't just randomly take millions out of the poker economy and expect it to keep on trucking. There is 0 chance Stars will passively stand by and watch their games die as Party seems to be doing.

Party, do it right. We need competition in this industry.

I gave up on them this week, for now anyways.

No interest in playing there at this time.

Aside from the VIP Rake Races in January, are there any other Palladium-only promotions for the first quarter of 2012?

I think it would be hard to determine because PP uses 'weighted contributed' in terms of rewards points. Its relative to how you play. I'm not sure there is a way to determine the stats you are looking for, I suppose it could be possible if someone knew your VPIP, 3-bet, c-bet, etc. If it is possible I don't know how to do it. :S Something I have found is that Palladium is relatively easy to get because you have 3 months to get there.

I guess for a rough estimate, maybe you can look at your HEM and see how much rake you've paid over x hands. each $1 rake nets you 2 points so you need $4,500 in 3 months to get palladium.

I just withdrew $950 and somehow lost about $26 in the conversion.
My MoneyBookers and bank are in euro.

Is there anything I can do to avoid losing so much money in conversion in the future?

Thank you Lessu. I changed my account to Euro. I was afraid if you had account in Euro you could lose money each game by conversion but did some searching it seems not.

Going to keep an eye on balance next few days to make sure I'm not losing anything by keeping account in euro when all games i play are in USD.

Cheers!

you wont lose anything. i got mine in euros too same way you got (with MB and home bank acc too)

buying in to 1knl table on party right now
$1000 = 773.93 euros

it will be the same rate buying out

xe.com
$1000 = 771.6645

so at the moment the rate is actually favorable to you if you are a winning player since you would be making more euros per $1 than the mid-market rate (there can be a bit variance to this during the day since the numbers can change even few % during the day but party only updates their exchange rate only once a day afaik). those rates should match though if party update their rate even once during the weekend since the rates dont change over holidays/weekends

The last few pages of this thread (I think it's this one) have a fix for the transparent login box issue. If it's not this thread, searching should find it for you.

try this:

1. Click on ‘Start’ and go to ‘Control Panel’ 2. Click on ‘Regional and Language Options’ 3. Go to ‘Languages’ tab and click on ‘Details’ 4. Go to the ‘Advanced tab’ and UN-check the option which says ‘Turn off advanced text services’ 5. Click ‘Ok’ to ‘Save’ and try login again.

Note the above didn't work for me it ws just what support said to try. May be diff results for u tho. My issue turned out to be mod-related.

Hmm just noticed "Turn off advanced text services" gets automatically checked after I uncheck it.
