I haven't played on Merge in a minute. I love the software and was checking out Carbon. No rb, vip program, and the sportsbook sucks. Come on man! I'm happy with the 10 other *******s that play at Juicy.

Speaking from a bum's perspective, I like the latest change.

I like to play 5/10 cent NLHE for fun. I half-ass study and try to get better, but well, I like to have a beer or three while playing. I run around -3 BB/100. This has a negligible effect on my income.

The reason it is entertaining to play at Carbon is:

The bubble chat!

The emoticons!

Obviously if full ring NLHE ran at ACR with similar software and ACR rewards, I would play there.

I'm a losing player on Carbon and I hate this. I usually can only play or 10-30 minutes at a time. I'm trying to get into a full-ring game for a reason, but I end up playing short handed and hoping the table fills up.

8 total players in the 1/2 and 2/5 pool. Well done Carbon!

If they don't add the wait list back for cash games, then they might lose some players rake they might have otherwise collected.

I understand why they did this but at least allow us to wait to join a random table. I hate having to be lucky to join a table and camp the lobby page to join a table the second a spot opens up.

yea pretty much agree with everyone else.

This doesn't even make the games rec friendly which I am sure was the goal.

So they say that they got rid of the notes in order to make our experience at the tables more like live games; and then they get rid of our ability to look at tables that are in play, unlike anything that would be found in live games. Could they make it any more obvious that they are lying to us about their desire to make their games more like live games?

The new cash games lobbies couldn't be any more boring. Pressing a link in order to join a table just isn't something that is going to attract players to the game.

I understand their impulse to protect the fish, and agree with them in principle, but this is a horrible way to do it. Who's the mouth breather making the poker room decisions?

Emailing them won't help. However, If mid-high volume sportsbetters cash out and stop playing with a friendly email explaining why, they'll strongly consider a different approach. In fact they'll have to or their bosses will be holding them accountable for lost revenue.

I don't mind the attempts to get rid of the bumhunting, but I wish the "min players seated" worked. Most days, I'm not going to want to start a new table, and when you click the "start playing" button, it seems like it seats you at a new table half the time. This is definitely not helping them get any kind of volume.

Exactly. Fish hate this more than regs. They'll just quit if they aren't having fun and no longer give revenue to the other sources of revenue as well. Good luck explaining this to Laurel and Hardy in the carbon gaming HQ though.

Can we even preview/rail a table anymore? FFS Merge.

Before players create an account on a site, they very often download the software and then open the client to see what games are running in the lobby before choosing where they want to deposit. The Carbon cash game lobby now looks like a bank statement. If the Merge Network was thinking that this change was going to attract new players, I think that they are miserably mistaken.

So to open a ring table you must sit at the table? No railing at all? So I can no longer watch the higher stakes games when I'm bored? Smart move Merge.... clowns. I actually supported some of the recent recreational model decisions but this is just dumb.

On a mobile device you can still table select but I'm sure that update is in the works as well. Why you can't even rail a game or waitlist a table on the desktop app is beyond comprehension.

Hey I'm all for making it a better place for everyone but merge gonna merge I guess. While they not only offer their own HUD, removing the note taking feature gives an advantage to those that have a HUD.

With all the recent changes, even the ones at Stars, it sure seems these poker rooms have monkeys throwing darts at a jump to conclusions map.

This was their response to my complaint about the recent software update and how it's unfriendly to the casual/rec player as well:

"I'm sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied with the recent updates. Based on player feedback, we made the ‘Grouped Cash Game’ feature permanent to help get players seated into cash games much faster. This way, our players will no longer need to waste time selecting the table. Now, a player shows up to the poker room, picks the game they want to play and the poker room manager walks them over to an open seat so they can start playing.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Wasn't there already a "quick seat" option to accomplish this?
