Does anybody know what percentage of the guarantee has to be covered for the tournament to avoid being canceled?

I only play plo8, and was actually excited that the new schedule included more $33 tournaments in the evening. Unfortunately, they end up canceled most of the time. With only a $750 guarantee and over two hours of late registration, they have no problem covering the guarantee when they actually run.

it seems a minimum of 5-6 runners have to be in, sometimes 5 sometimes 6 is what i have noticed.

Would like to see the 1:15pm EST $250 $Dazzler returned along with the 5:00pm $11 Deep Stack Rebuy and 2:00am $5 1r/a. Still marching to the beat of a different drummer. Just sayin...

is sportsbook.ag or any other skin giving 1/10th the vpps since oct 1st?

i looked at my vip pts ledger and it says a $10 mtt i played a few days ago payed 1 vpp (for $1 in tourney fees). i looked lower and it had a $10 mtt played from 9/29 with 10 vpp, same $1 in fees. anyone else confirm this, especially if your from sportsbook.ag ? bc it has always been 10 vpps for every dollar in fees.

I, too, am a huge fan of the badugi tournys and was really disappointed to see them gone from the new Carbon schedule.

But THEN ...after seeing ITT that the tournys on Sportsbook are not the same as Carbon's, (I've had an account on SB for years, but pretty much quit playing there following the 'player segregation' thing), I checked and found that Sportsbook shows the following badugi tournys (which I believe are all the same ones Merge had previously, except they seem to have eliminated the 23:15 $3.30 buy-in):

(all US Eastern time)

2:30 $2.20 Pot Limit
8:30 $2.20 Pot Limit
11:50 $1.10 Fixed Limit
14:30 $2.20 Pot Limit
20:30 $2.20 Pot Limit

It's kind of weird because Sportsbook has scrapped all their cash games except Hold 'Em, PLO, and PLO8, while Carbon still continues to have cash games for Badugi, Stud, Draw, Razz, and Mixed Games, as well as Hold 'Em and Omaha, of course. Go figure.

Anyway, badugi tourny fans, Sportsbook is now the place! Please let's all show our support for these tournys , so Sportsbook will know that we want them to keep having them.

I know this is a bit "nit picky" and not THAT important, but since we don't have the Carbon forum to post in, I'm putting my two cents in here. Yeah, I'm probably being a bit of a bitch, but stuff like this really bugs me!

The new Tournament Lobby design is nice once you get used to it (very clean and info is well arranged), but PLEASSSE make the default size on the position column big enough to show more more than one digit. It's very annoying to see Positions 1-9 and then 1,1,1, etc. Yes, you can resize it, but every time you close & re-open it, it defaults right back.

+1

Even if they just left-justified the numbers it would be an improvement.

There's a listing of tournaments pre October 1st (specifically September 30th) for anyone who needs it for reference, and any overlays if they did. It also has # of entrants/rebuys/addons so if you want to calculate the total prizepool you can, I was just too lazy to do it.
there was nothing wrong with this schedule. i thought it was pretty great actually. few big gtd tournies each night and then a bunch of rebuys and good turbos

just here to say again how ****ty the new schedule is. I now play like 5 games per night if I play. I'm done with these 109 2k's and stuff. The late reg just ruins it. Bring back the old schedule please.

I'm sure this has asked, but is there anyone who has been "invited" to the carbon status receiving 35% rb ?

I'm a 'rec' player who likes playing a wide variety of games, not just HE. Since I just discovered ITT that Carbon and Sportsbook do not have the same tourny schedules anymore (and I had been playing mostly on Carbon since 'player segregation'), I just did a bit of a comparison and here's what I found.

Carbon's tournys are now heavily weighted to HE. There are about 2 1/2-3 pages of PLO/PLO8 tournys. I didn't count to see what the actual number is, but it's not many.

AND, Carbon now ONLY has 13 tournys featuring games other than HE, PLO or PLO8, although a few seemingly private "named" tournys are showing up for badugi, razz etc.

Sportsbook on the other hand appears to pretty much be offering the same mix of tourny games that Merge did previously. I'll admit I certainly didn't have their whole schedule memorized other than the badugi tournys (from which the one $3.30 buy-in tourny has been eliminated - leaving only the ones with the $2.20 buy-in), but it looks basically the same to me, at least in terms of the variety of games.

Strangely, as I said in my previous post about the badugi tournys, Carbon still offers a variety of cash games including Stud, Draw, Razz, Badugi and Mixed Games, along with HE, PLO and PLO8, while the only cash games on Sportsbook are for HE, PLO and PLO8. So, Carbon has a wider variety of cash games and Sportsbook has a wider variety of tourny games, whatever that means.

Just so ya know!

I agree 100% with this.

they took away stud, only stud hi lo now. it sucks. and they {carbon] removed all fixed limit 5 draw, really screwed up the action, rarely a PK game going, and no true micro stakes there

Nobody seems to have pointed out the nightly late night schedule changes so i will. There was:
- "Night Owl" with $22 buyin and 2k gtd
- 1.5k gtd turbo $11
- 1k gtd $5r
- 2-4k gtd turbo $11 1r+1a.

These were good tournaments, and they shouldn't have been removed from the schedule.
Here's to hoping that somebody who can make some sort of change is reading this thread because right now this schedule is unplayable compared to the way it was last month.

when you talk to Merge can you please bring up the Badugi tournaments? i know they eliminated all $3 tournaments so here's my idea:

bring back the 8pm est $2 buy-in. ALso the most popular Badugi was the 11:15pm est Daily Freezeout that was $3, so they could bring that back with a $5 buy-in and see how it does.

I just remember I had $500 in Carbon and logged in for the first time in ~18 months. All gone, $0 balance... couldn't find any transaction history or anything.

I talked to support and the dude said it was being held because of inactivity. He said he could get the money back in my account if I wanted to keep using the account, and mentioned some inactivity fees without saying anything about specific amounts. I replied that, yes, in fact, I would prefer having money to not having money, and he told me he'd look into things for a few minutes.

A few minutes later he came back and said he put in a request to put the money back in my account. The dollar amount he quoted is, I think, the same amount I had (without any inactivity fees) but it might be like $15 less.

So I'm not here to rage or anything, just thought someone might search the internet for something like this someday, and would appreciate finding this post.

Hoping I'll be able to cash this out, but who knows.

I've read in the past that they take money out of accounts after a certain amount of time. I think that it is for security reasons, to protect the owner, more than anything else.

And Triple Draw. Throw in a Razz tournament for fun.

Fun to mix it up. $2-$3 with no guarantees, whats the harm?

This was actually a 2r 1a if it's the late one that's now gone.

I'd love to see this $11q and...

$11 6 max turbo super stack the one around 22:00
$1r frenzy with the 30K add-on back

I love all of the nightly's now...really gives you a chance to hit something big everyday especially with all the daily coupons that pop off all day long. I just want the night schedule back like the others said, the nightowl and etc. Also about the late reg. it is annoying but if you think about it. Usually after its over you're very close to the bubble and cashing already, and you were gonna be playing that long anyways to go deep. So it's not too bad i think.
