I wake up this morning and there is still no returned money, no email. I called the phone number on the intertops site and the chat host told me that is it policy to never refund tournaments aside from network errors and site freezes.
I know that support works pretty fast so I was surprised to not have an email this morning. Any update would be much appreciated!

Just received this email from the site.

Dear Hunter,
We regret to inform you that we are unable to refund you for the Tournament in question as this was not a connection issue.
In the future, we suggest that you contact us for assistance, if you need to un-register from a Tournament.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
Sincerely
Latoya
I understand this is my fault for registering the wrong tournament, but I specifically asked Support Agent Pascal what to do last night while I was still in the tournament. He told me that it would not be a problem to get a refund. Under the assumption I would be refunded, I did what I thought was the most ethical option and blinded out of the tournament sitting out. Why do two support agents give me two different answers to the same question? If it's site policy, why do your support reps not know the policy?
Hi
I am really sorry for any misunderstanding and any inconvenience this might have caused you. It is also very strange that you didn't receive an update from support and this I will address ASAP with our support.
So we can never cancel a buy-in after the tournament has started. For obvious reasons we will also not refund issues like these.
Before tournaments start players can cancel their own registrations without any problems but once they have started there is nothing we can do.
Pascal didn't say it wouldn't be a problem to get a refund he said:
Pascal: i have to forward this matter to our pokermanager who will have a look on it and contact you than. but in general it should be no problem.
Either way should have received an email and update on this from Intertops.
Best regards,
The Intertops Poker Team
