(first post, hi everyone)

I live in Oregon, and I wanted to try out GlobalPoker. Normally no problem, it's available here, but I use Starlink as my ISP (I live way out innawoods), and Starlink pipes into Seattle, WA, where GlobalPoker is not available. Two questions:

1) is it worth using a VPN service to access GlobalPoker, and if so
2) do you think that's gonna put me in a weird position w/GlobalPoker, to use a VPN to represent where I actually live

Thanks all.

Several people in the discord have had their accounts closed on Global for using VPNs. It is against the terms of service. I believe they take your balance as well

Man it just sucks that I'd be using a VPN to represent where I actually live, in a state where it's available. I guess it's not worth it then.

I'm having the worst time getting my identity verified by Global Poker. I went through the verification process, and the site show that it approved me. I tried to access the prize redemption features and claim SC, but I kept getting error messages that I'm not approved. I reached out and apparently I sent the documents in wrong. Should be an easy fix according to the customer service email I got. They want me to just go back and re-verify. Here's the problem though: I can't. There is no option to verify for me anymore. The UI keeps telling me I'm already verified. I attached an image for clarity. I've received about 10 emails in a row from them in reply to everything I've sent and all they do is keep telling me to clear my cache, try a different browser, try a different device and just reverify. I have no clue what to do here. I want to deposit more and play more, but there's no point if I can't get through this. What do I do? It seems like the responses I'm getting are automated because none of them acknowledge the reality that I am unable to follow their instructions because their system has me locked out.

Any thoughts on what to do?

Global poker is saying that I went to a promotion they're running with play money. intentionally changed it from the way it was set up with fake money and changed it to do it with real money. so i could gamble away everything I had on a slot machine on their website and lose all my real money instead of playing the promo. never played in the casino for real money in about 10 years! of being on site. they took just under $300 cash approx $297 how do i get it back? still no reply from global

lol I’ve done this before thinking I was on play money for a spin promo and was using SC instead. 100% my fault. You have to make sure the play money tab is clicked. They aren’t gonna refund you for your mistake. I feel your pain though

When did they switch from military time to AM PM listings? Must've paid a coder overtime for that one.

I joined the discord, but it says that mods won't help you with account questions.

I'm wasn't shitting on it. Funny that having to do simply math on time was incredibly annoying to me. Glad it's updated!

A player has been identified at 50NL using GTOw live while playing. He has been absolutely destroying the games since he showed up out of nowhere about 6 weeks ago. Despite being called out in chat, continues to tank while running every single board over 10bbs. Sad state of affairs.

This hand is the second hand in the screenshot, tank calls to the river and folds getting 10-1

Ive seen people post about having trouble verifying their account in the "general" or "product feedback" channel on the GP discord and gotten their problem resolved/ expediated by one of the mods in the past. IDK if they still will, your mileage may vary...

Yea, I saw someone mention this in the GP discord. He said he reported it to GP security. what should we look out for? besides excessive tanking? are these guys mostly in the cash games or MMTs?

Tanking, unintuitive hands to call or raise with, and generally just playing unlike a human being.

See? You were telling guys to just "get good" the other day. It's beyond that. Timebanking has increased exponentially, the difficulty of the games has gone up noticeably, and some players have even openly admitted to using GTOWizard in game - explaining how they view it the same as using a HUD.

It really isn't beyond that, assuming a fair game. Some people just love to bitch though.

Despite people tanking, the difficulty of games going up, and some players using GTOw while playing, the games are still crushable and it's not debatable. I personally stacked this guy using GTOw twice in the last 2 days. But I don't want to play with cheaters, who would? If the sites don't police this, the games will die completely, and no one wants that either. Hopefully global freezes his account and bans him quick before he takes any more money out of the pool.

The biggest sign is the player finding lines the pool doesn’t find, but are GTO, like checking back a street and raising a probe with thin value. Once you see something like that, combined with burning time bank for trivial decisions, you can be sure they’re using wizard, but you can just use wizard’s lookup tool to be sure.

Man, it sucks that this is happening more frequently. 1st it was pbaby and now its this guy. kinda makes me wonder how many more are out there. These 2 dont even seem 2 care if they get caught....

BTW: the guy on discord never mentioned the screen name of the cheater he found. he said he didnt want to alert the cheater and wanted GP to take care of it. The mods and admins are responding to him in chat/PMs so i guess GP is taking it more seriously this time. which is a good thing...

Yes, it sucks, because real cheaters will be more deceptive and not so obvious. The good news is that as long as there are 2 or more fish on the table, you should be able to be profitable, even if a reg is using RTA, because in theory, you can exploit the fish for more than an RTA, and the RTA user won't gain a ton off of you in most spots with a reasonable strategy. An RTA user would crush you heads up, but in a ring game, not as much.

The big issue is that with all of these tools available, fish like pbaby go from losing heaps to being winners in the game, so it kills the ecosystem fast. In other words, a solid reg using RTA won't kill the games as fast as a fish getting RTA.

My bankroll is big enough for 20nl and 50nl on here. Combining this with WPN is some proving ground. I haven't even tried the "new" 25z pool on there yet. I'm sure it's as filthy as it gets online lol.

I've been going round'n'round with GP on this issue

They say they're not at fault and nobody else has had this problem.

I've been a somewhat reg for a while now and only the last couple months I get booted off and signed out in middle of playing (cash games) then when I log back in I'm no longer at the tables. This happen to anyone else?
