+1, would like to know also, had a ton of problem w/ client crashing back from may - july, thought it was just computer problem on my end, but after reading some of this thread seems it was clearly a problem on their end. Has also happened since then, but not very often

Been meaning to email them asking for refund for a long time but not even sure exactly what to ask for since I was in the middle of almost all the hands that I got dc'ed in and also did not save the hhs

Also seems like their first line support is fast to respond but also rather incompetent + almost def w/o much authority to make any adjustments to your acct

The funny part is the guy prob falls for the old limp the button a few times and change your PFR size trick and thinks he is getting stacked by a fish.

So I want to redeposit on Bovada, ready to deposit about $500. Turns out they no longer let me use any method other than a Visa card with a 5% fee. Not a chance in hell I'm losing 5% on a $500 deposit.

Since when have they removed money transfers?

BTW they also removed all transactions other than Visa card from my fathers account and my brothers.

Pretty sick considering I'd be paying them in rake more than the entire fee per day.

Deposits are now capped at $950, require a Visa, and a 5% fee according to the operator. WTF?

Wish I knew this and I'd have left some money on there.

I think you can deposit with western union and request fees back, call to verify

They no longer offer money transfers to "almost all players".

I don't care about the $25 fee, I care about the principal of paying them to pay them.

Anyone heard speculation whether the Bodog site shutdown will have any repercussions for Bovada? Makes me a bit uneasy to have some of my roll there.

That happened like 2 1/2 years ago. The .com domain was seized because it could be seized. There's a reason every site moved to .eu domains long ago and bovada is a .lv site.

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't seen it. Bodog has always been under fire from the DOJ but it hasn't stopped them so far. There's always a risk playing on an offshore site from the US, and it's hard to say what, if anything, this will do to Bodog as a whole. To answer your original question, the seizure of the site has little to do with this since it was so long ago.

Bovada is a joke they closed my account after i asked to have my casino permanently banned not my fffing whole account wtf they said they will cash out my remainder balance and i will never be able to have an account with them again. What a joke all i ever did was dump thousands in to the casino soon as i say i don't want it anymore they just close my whole account cool. I have called them a 100 times say i never ever said my whole account and the responce back from them is a broken record. This is the response everytime.
"we're unable to re enable your account. We take such request seriously and there'll be no exception." Get ffed bovada

Okay, good deal.. I guess it's a calculated risk we take nowadays and why I play mostly underolled.

I actually had no idea that they were shut down at all, btw, shows how much I pay attention.

I would wager that you somehow implied you had a gambling problem, or that you lost too much money in the casino, and that is why they closed your account.

And logically, this makes sense. Because if you didn't have a gambling problem you wouldn't need to ban yourself, you could just use self control and not use the casino. Clearly, you were concerned you didn't have the self control to do this, or you wouldn't of asked them to have the casino permanently banned.

There actions make sense to me.

I mean, if you walked into Aria and said you want to be excluded from table games b/c you lose too much playing craps, but still wanted to play poker there, I would expect they would say the same thing.

You can't expect a gambling operator to parse the lines between what type of gambling is addictive, and what is not. To them, its all gambling, and they are taking the conservative route and just banning you from all games of chance {even if you wanted to still play the one with the most skill}. My guess is their regulator (joke I know) would prefer this route.

Im surprised people play MTTs in bovada given the biweekly disconnect issues.

Sounds like you might be better off.I have an idea, start smoking crack cocaine ,it's a similar buzz as gambling, a whole hell of a lot cheaper, and you get a free buzz/rush driving into the ghetto to buy it ... win/win/win ... you are welcome my friend, no need to thank me.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME THEY DONT GIVE TWO SHT WHAT I HAVE LOST

"My guess is their regulator (joke I know) would prefer this route"
There regulator was apart of the biggest scam in us online poker as you already know so don't give me that crap.

They never had a problem before i said i wanted my casino banned i never said anything about me losing to much i did not want it anymore cause i would get tilted and go to black jack. The lady i was talking to miss heard me and thought i said my whole account to be banned either way there rules are a joke i cant even explain to them what happen cause all the have working for them are robot females that you cant even get a word in cause they are programmed with an automated response to everything. Nothing more to cry about its done just wanted to vent. I will not drag this on anymore!

Ok I've searched all over google and twoplustwo but have not been able to find a concrete answer, and have basically just read a bunch of contradicting stories.... I've given up and am just going to post in here and run the risk of being yelled at

I just downloaded bovada and looking to put a few hundred on via prepaid visa... is my only option getting a card from netspends site? Or can i use one of the cards they sell at CVS? Green dot prepaid, vanilla prepaid, etc?

Thank you a ton in advance.

Either way. If you need to do it right now you go to CVS and buy a prepaid card and load it with CASH at the register. If you want to wait a few days you can just order it online and it will be in your mailbox soon. If you get the CVS instant card, they mail you a real card at the same time. You then dispose of the first card and use the mailed one.

Use netspend, they work very well with bovada. The others do not.

BTW, you can get a free $20 if you get the card online, not at CVS. You just put in some promo code from someone.

Well, why else would they want to turn away a paying customer? If they don't care what their regulator thinks, then they should be happy to re-enable your account. The only reason I can see that they wouldn't is because they don't want to run afoul of regulations/laws. Or they believe you're a problem gambler and they have their own in-house rules about that based on morality or fear of a lawsuit.
