Not a member of this network, but follow this thread for btc info. W/D from my network last night. Sent to Circle today from block using previously generated address from Circle. Received in Circle 1 hr. later and sent to bank account. Attempted a transfer to Coinbase, but unable to generate an address. Looks as if I'll need their btc wallet. Will wait for son to scan documents.

Do you mean verify that it matches with your ID? If so then no... there's no way for them to know who a bitcoin address belongs to.

The only thing they will check for is that it's a new address that hasn't been used before.

Hello guys , I never made a btc withdraw before so I want to know how you process everything? What I mean is that exchange rate btc to usd is changing all the time especially last days, there are swings up to 200-300 $ for one btc for few hours. You just make the withdraw request and then stay all day on the PC waiting for the transfer so you can immediately transfer and exchange the bitcoins hoping they will be in the same exchange rate you received them or what? Sorry It might be stupid question but I am new in this stuff.

Kind of. But if you have your email address from Ignition on your phone, and the Blockchain.info app, you don't need to wait on a PC.

Ignition sends an email when they process the withdrawal and send BTC. Then you'll be ready when it hits your wallet and you can use the app to send to your exchange.

If you're using Coinbase they also have an app. If you're using the Bitpay card you just have to use their website on your phone's browser to load the card.

From my own and the others I've seen recently in this thread it seems the time from request to processed is averaging between an hour and a day.

Bitcoin transaction times will vary, but they are built to average at 10 minutes. Sometimes it's 1 minute, sometimes it's an hour... but in the long run it averages 10 minutes.

So the transaction from Ignition to your wallet, and then from your wallet to your exchange will usually take less than an hour.

If you're withdrawing from exchange to bank via ACH, that should take 1-3 business days depending on your bank.

Whole process probably between 1-5 business days.

If you get a bitcoin debit card you can skip the ACH transfer. I recently went from request to cash in hand in 1 hour.

Holy cow, bitcoin is ridiculously confusing. I signed up for coinbase to try to get money to block chain to deposit, and tried to figure out if they had an atm card, and I cannot make heads or tails of the link to their shift card. Like I have no clue how to even approach this page https://www.shiftpayments.com/

So I made a DEPOSIT via coinbase---blockchain----ignition last night at 6:30pm..... still 0/3 confirmations at 10:40 this morning. Going on 17 hours.... longest it has ever taken for a deposit is about 10 minutes for me. Anyone else ever have this issue? Is there anything I can do other than anxiously continue to wait?

Are there any posters itt that actually do this? Is it even possible to deposit a check from an offshore site into a US bank account without the bank asking questions?

FYI, Bitpay has their own app as well.

I got sent $1572.82 to my BlockChain. Has this happened to anybody else? I skimmed and haven't seen this happen.

Damn, that really sucks.

I am still waiting on my damn deposit to go through blockchain after 24 hours almost. Wish I had known about manually slightly increasing the miner fee to get a better spot in line.

Just not familiar with it, and if Mr. Joe America wants to plunk down some fast cash while watching the football game I don't see him using bitcoin, unless that's better for cashouts mainly.

I guess what I'm getting at is the harder it is to get money on/off these sites, the less your average player is going to use them and you end up with a bunch of grinders on the site

What is the longest a blockchain transaction has taken for any of you? I'm going on solid 23 hours now...is there a point of no return, or will it still eventually go through? It's a deposit to ignition.....ignition already said it's pretty much on my wallet's end only and I can eventually send screen shots that I sent to the right address and they will "investigate"

I know Blockchain's policy is that no BTC transactions can be cancelled or reversed. So I just don't understand how I'd ever get my money if it is just stuck in limbo and ignition never receives it....(despite ignition/me confirming with screen shots that I sent to right address)

That page is confusing, but it's not the one for the debit card. Add "/card" to the end of that URL, or click on "Shift Card" on the top right of that page.

Hmm, I'll have to check it out. I knew they had their own wallet app that you can use to load the card, but didn't know if you could use app to load the card when sending from a different wallet.

Did they send it on the 5th and you just now got it?

If Joe America wants to deposit with his card he still can. And if he wants to withdraw via check he still can.

But anyone willing to try bitcoin can make free deposits vs. paying 6%. And they can get free withdrawals every 3 days and cash in hand within hours.

I would say bitcoin makes it far easier to get money on and off the site.

The key is informing Joe America that there's a method in 2017 where he can deposit to a poker site on a Friday night, gambol it up, and withdraw his winnings for free in time to spend it at the bar before work Monday.

It depends. It's odd that your transaction has taken this long.

It will either eventually get confirmed, or it will eventually be dropped from the pool of unconfirmed transactions. If it's dropped it will be like you had never sent it in the first place and you'll be able to do it again.

EndTheFed, can you elaborate a little on it being dropped and therefore like it never happened - does that mean that the money would return to my blockchain wallet at that point?

Yeah, I definitely understand how it can seem confusing and complicated but once you do it you'll see that it's actually pretty simple.

The videos in this post use Circle as an exchange. They aren't an option anymore so you'll have to use an alternative like Coinbase.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...ostcount=25344

Those videos should give you an overview for the process and how to get set up, and then ask if you have any other questions.

I apologize if this has been asked but I can't find information anywhere. I am trying to sell my bitcoins off of coin base and withdraw to my bank account, but I can't get to the sell page??? Anyone have an experience with this?

This is my exact problem. Last time I withdrew was around October. I went from bovada to blockchain to circle and then to my bank account with little to no problem. I see circle doesn't work anymore for this so I opened up a coinbase account. I added and verified my debit card. I added and verified my bank account. I still can't get to the sell tab or withdraw to my bank. Then it suddenly popped up last night and asked for photo ID verification. At that point I said forget this and moved my money back off coinbase to bovada for safe keeping until I can figure out what route to take. If someone who is familiar can help me with coinbase I would greatly appreciate it. I looked into bitpay too and with the debit card you get that seems cool too. Here is the kicker, when I went to sign up for bitpay it asked me all kinds of personal info (ssn, debit card info, etc) before I even created an account or was signed in to said account. That seemed shady to me so I didn't finish the application.

Bitpay is run by a bank. Any other bank would ask the same questions.

Right, both Coinbase and Bitpay are required to ask for some info because of KYC laws.

If we have to send scans of our ID to offshore poker sites in order to cash out, it doesn't seem too much to have to send a scan of your ID to a US based, fully licensed and regulated bitcoin exchange.

I understand though. I don't like having to give the info either, and I'm sure the site doesn't want to have to go through that extra work. But that's the price we have to pay for the convenience of using a licensed bitcoin exchange.

Report to the IRS? That's up to you to decide how to report no matter which method you use.

If you mean report to Coinbase, then no, definitely do not tell them where the bitcoin came from.
