Well it is a little strange for a "veteran player" to be concerned about receiving checks and just him saying he's worried about "structuring" shows he doesn't have any idea what he is talking about.

The checks generally go thru without a hitch and IME. Nothing to be so paranoid about. The banks are happy to be getting your money. Remember they work for you. Not the other way around.

Those are the big 3 I can immediately think of imo. I've definitely seen preferential treatment for players who hit 1 & 3 and BV obv loves guys who lose lol

A few days earlier, bovada disabled my bankwire option that I had been using for more than a year. Their reason is that I am on a list of ''easily identifiable" poker player provided by the provider (=processor?) and that they have to go by the list. I know some of the posters on this thread have experienced this problem. However, the weird thing is that I am by no means a known poker player. I've played less than 5 live tourneys at a local casino in my life and I don't find anything related to poker when I google myself. However, they did give me an option of opening a business account not linked to my name or my wife's account to have the money transferred. Obviously, there are some legal issues involved here that I would rather not get myself into. At this point, I am considering a few options (continue bankwire with another name, play "part" time and get a side job, or stop playing and get a full time job) with no definite conclusion. I would appreciate some comments from those of you that have faced this problem and found a solution. Also, I think this post will serve as important information for those who are planning on playing long term.

Why are you uncomfortable getting too many checks? You can use the same account if you wish, that's a personal preference.

James did you google your name + poker? It doesn't take much I only have two cashes from 8 years ago.

3k checks are tough to get large amounts off in a timely manner, often get sent to collections with additional fees and bounce on occasion.

nver had a check take more than 10 day, rarely get sent to collections and never bounce in my experiences.

Yeah, nothing shows up. That's why I am surprised this has happened. I agree with you regarding checks. I find wires much more convenient.

I've also been frozen by the random "This tournament has just begun" popup, which is not even playable in the mobile client. Not sure why they have that pop up for mobile players.
